The Inquisitor is a 2024 action-adventure video game developed by The Dust and published by Kalypso Media. Players investigate reports of a vampire in an alternate history version medieval Europe.
The story is based on the Inquisitor novels by Jacek Piekara, which take place in an alternate history where Jesus sought vengeance on the Roman Empire rather than martyring himself. As a result, Christianity is portrayed as violent and merciless. Players control Mordimer Madderdin, an inquisitor in medieval Europe charged with investigating reports of a vampire and punishing sinners. Players can choose merciful or merciless options in dialogue, which can affect how the story progresses. During his investigation, Madderdin can question or torture sinners for information. This information can be vetted in an alternate dimension Madderdin can access, though players must fight or hide from monsters here. [2]
This is Polish developer The Dust's first non-mobile game. Kalypso Media released The Inquisitor for Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on February 8, 2024. [3]
The Inquisitor received mixed reviews on Metacritic. [4] IGN called the concept fascinating, but they felt it did not live up to its ambition. Though they enjoyed performing the investigation, they felt searching for clues and the combat were both too easy. They also said they had trouble identifying which parts of story were affected by their choices. [2] PC Gamer said it "does deliver on the concept", but they felt some of the gameplay mechanics, such as combat and stealth, were poorly implemented. They recommended the game regardless to players who found the concept interesting. [5]

Commandos 2: Men of Courage is a real-time tactics video game, developed by Pyro Studios, published by Eidos Interactive, and released on September 20, 2001. It is a sequel to Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines and the second installment of the Commandos series, and is the only strategy game of the series to be designed not only for Microsoft Windows, but also for PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Based on the novel Dracula by Bram Stoker, the game focuses on the trials of young Van Helsing, son of the legendary vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing from the book. The game is set in a gothic-noir 19th-century Eastern Europe and contains "intentionally anachronistic humor and gadgetry". A sequel, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II, was released on 22 May 2014. A second sequel, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III, was released on 22 May 2015.
Omerta – City of Gangsters is a simulation game with turn-based tactical game-play elements developed by Haemimont Games and published by Kalypso Media for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and the Xbox 360. The game was released in German-speaking countries on 31 January 2013. The international German download version for Windows was released through the Steam-service as well. The English version was released just a day after in the rest of Europe, and in Australia on 7 February for the PC version, whereas the version for the US market was released on 12 February, followed by the release of the Xbox 360 version in Australia the day after. A version for Mac OS X was published on 2 August 2013.

Boyfriend Dungeon is a dungeon crawler-dating sim developed and published by Kitfox Games. Taking place in an urban fantasy setting, the player character must fight through dungeons with the help of a human partner who can transform into a sentient weapon. Outside of dungeons, the player can date their partner in visual novel-style sequences that increase their power in combat.
