The Jet Set was a Polish R&B duo which consists of David Junior Serame and Sasha Strunin. They represented Poland in the semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki.
The Jet Set represented Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 after winning the national selection on February 3. They performed the song "Time to Party" in the semi-final of the competition on May 10 in Helsinki, Finland, finishing 14th of 28 entrants and failing to qualify for the final.

Poland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Time to Party" written by Kamil Varen, David Junior Serame and Mateusz Krezan. The song was performed by the duo The Jet Set. The Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) organised the national final Piosenka dla Europy 2007 in order to select the Polish entry for the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland. The national final took place on 3 February 2007 and featured ten entries. "Time to Party" performed by The Jet Set was selected as the winner after gaining the most public votes.
Belarus was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Work Your Magic", composed by Philip Kirkorov, with lyrics by Karen Kavaleryan, and performed by Dmitry Koldun. The Belarusian participating broadcaster, Belarusian Television and Radio Company (BTRC), selected its entry through a national final.
Cyprus participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Comme ci, comme ça" written by Dimitris Korgialas and Poseidonas Yiannopoulos. The Cypriot song, "Comme ci, comme ça", was presented to the public on 23 February 2007 during the special show Cyprus 12 Points - Chypre 12 Points. This was the first time that Cyprus was represented with a song performed entirely in the French language at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Ukraine participated in Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Dancing Lasha Tumbai" written by Andriy Danylko. The song was performed by Verka Serduchka, which is the drag stage persona of Andriy Danylko. The Ukrainian broadcaster National Television Company of Ukraine (NTU) organised a national final in order to select the Ukrainian entry for the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland. Seven entries competed in the national selection held on 9 March 2007 and "Danzing" performed by Verka Serduchka was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from a five-member jury panel and a public televote. The song was later retitled as "Dancing Lasha Tumbai". The Ukrainian entry caused controversy due to Serduchka being a drag performer as well as alleged political references in the song.
Turkey participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Shake It Up Şekerim" written and performed by Kenan Doğulu, who was internally selected by the Turkish broadcaster Türkiye Radyo ve Televizyon Kurumu (TRT) to represent the nation at the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland. The announcement of Kenan Doğulu as the Turkish entrant occurred on 19 December 2006, while "Shake It Up Şekerim" was presented to the public on 9 March 2007.

The song was performed by Magdi Rúzsa, who was selected to represent Hungary at the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland through the "Discovery of the Year" category of the 2007 Fonogram Hungarian Music Awards, organised by the Hungarian public broadcaster Magyar Televízió (MTV). In December 2006, MTV announced that they would be returning to the Eurovision Song Contest after a one-year absence following their withdrawal in 2006 due to financial reasons. Six artists competed in the "Discovery of the Year" category of the awards and Magdi Rúzsa was selected as the winner based entirely on a public televote. The Hungarian song, "Unsubstantial Blues", was internally selected and announced on 12 March 2007.

The Lithuanian broadcaster Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) organised the national final "Eurovizijos" dainų konkurso nacionalinė atranka in order to select the Lithuanian entry for the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland. The national final took place over six weeks and involved three different competitive streams: entries performed by newcomers, semi-established artists and established artists. In the final, eleven artists and songs remained and the winner was selected over two rounds of public voting. In the first round, the top three were selected to qualify to the superfinal. In the superfinal, "Love or Leave" performed by 4Fun was selected as the winner with 23,888 votes.
Malta participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Vertigo" written by Philip Vella and Gerard James Borg. The song was performed by Olivia Lewis. The Maltese entry for the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland was selected through the national final Malta Song for Europe 2007, organised by the Maltese broadcaster Public Broadcasting Services (PBS). The competition consisted of two phases: Opportunity 2 and Malta Song for Europe 2007. In the final of Malta Song for Europe 2007, held on 3 February 2007, "Vertigo" performed by Olivia Lewis eventually emerged as the winning entry after gaining the most votes from a public televote with 30,977 votes.
