"The Lighthouse" is a song by American singer-songwriter Stevie Nicks, released on September 27, 2024. Written by Nicks, Magnus Birgersson and Vincent Villuis, and produced by Nicks, Sheryl Crow and Dave Cobb, the song is pressed as a "white vinyl 7" single. [2] Nicks based the lyrics on a poem she wrote and posted on social media titled "Get It Back" in September 2022. [3] Nicks wrote the song to promote women's rights, and wrote it to promote women's right's and wrote it in response to the Supreme Court overruling of Roe v. Wade, feeling a need for collective action, inspired by a newcaster's words. [4] Nicks promoted the song with performances on Saturday Night Live [5] [6] and Jimmy Kimmel Live . [7] [8]
