The Tokyo Showdown is the first live album by Swedish heavy metal band In Flames. It was recorded during their Japanese tour in 2000 at their show in Tokyo. During their performance of "Scorn" they incorporated the opening riffs of Slayer's "Raining Blood".

Contents

The album title was inspired by the action film Showdown in Little Tokyo .

It has a dark theme, with most of the lyrics dealing with depression and internal struggles. Clayman is the final In Flames album to feature their original melodic death metal sound. The band would later start to experiment with other styles on their next release, Reroute to Remain, gradually progressing these more experimental elements across their future releases later into the 2000s. Ceremonial Oath is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1989. They were originally called Desecrator, but changed their name to Ceremonial Oath in 1991 and disbanded in 1996.
