The song was written by J. Dibbs and Abenaa and produced by Gerry E. Brown and Williams. Several remixes are available for the song, which became a top-10 hit on the US Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs chart. At the Grammy Awards in 1996, the song received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.
