Gina Maria Prince-Bythewood is an American film director and screenwriter. She began her career as a writer for multiple television shows in the 1990s, including the anthology series CBS Schoolbreak Special, for which she was nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards. Prince-Bythewood made her feature film directorial debut with Love & Basketball (2000), for which she received an Independent Spirit Award.
Terence Oliver Blanchard is an American trumpeter, pianist and composer. He started his career in 1982 as a member of the Lionel Hampton Orchestra, then The Jazz Messengers. He has composed more than forty film scores and performed on more than fifty. A frequent collaborator with director Spike Lee, he has been nominated for two Academy Awards for composing the scores for Lee's films BlacKkKlansman (2018) and Da 5 Bloods (2020). He has won five Grammy Awards from fourteen nominations.
Kung Fu Panda (Music from the Motion Picture) is the score album to the 2008 film Kung Fu Panda. The album features original score composed by Hans Zimmer and John Powell, and a cover of the classical song "Kung Fu Fighting" performed by CeeLo Green and Jack Black (who also plays Po, the lead character). The album consisted of traditional and orchestral score, infused with Chinese music, where Zimmer visited China to study the traditions and culture. As a process, the score was recorded with mostly Chinese traditional instruments, and the China National Symphony Orchestra also performed the score. The Woman King is a 2022 American historical action-adventure film about the Agojie, the all-female warrior unit that protected the West African kingdom of Dahomey during the 17th to 19th centuries. Set in the 1820s, the film stars Viola Davis as a general who trains the next generation of warriors to fight their enemies. It is directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and written by Dana Stevens, based on a story she wrote with Maria Bello. The film also stars Thuso Mbedu, Lashana Lynch, Sheila Atim, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, and John Boyega.

The album was released by Walt Disney Records digitally on November 4, 2014, and through physical formats on November 25. It featured 19 tracks, from the background score composed by Henry Jackman, and an original song titled "Immortals" written and recorded by American rock band Fall Out Boy. The track was released as a single on October 14, 2014. The score consisted of electronic and orchestral music, to balance with the film's emotional depth and heroic themes.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the score album to the 2014 film of the same name. Puss in Boots (Music from the Motion Picture) is the score album to the 2011 film of the same name, released by Sony Classical Records on October 26, 2011. The album featured 22 tracks from the original score composed by Henry Jackman, and two songs performed by the Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela: "Diablo Rojo" and "Hanuman" being included. Lady Gaga's song "Americano" was also featured in the film, but not included in the soundtrack. The music was positively received by critics and fans, and received him a nomination for Annie Award for Music in a Feature Production, but lost to John Williams for his score in The Adventures of Tintin (2011). The score is one of Jackman's film score catalog acquired by Reservoir Media in March 2022.

Inside Man (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the soundtrack to the 2006 film Inside Man directed by Spike Lee. The soundtrack featured several themes from the film score composed by Terence Blanchard, Lee's regular collaborator and the track "Chaiyya Chaiyya Bollywood Joint", which is a remixed version of the song "Chaiyya Chaiyya" from the Hindi film Dil Se.. (1998). This song is played in the opening credits of the film, while its remix (performed by Panjabi MC) is appeared in the end credits. It was first released in physical formats on March 21, 2006 by Varèse Sarabande. Most of the themes featured in the film consisted of a old-school rhythm and blues flavor, which was to match Denzel Washington's career.
