This is Japanimetal Marathon is a compilation album by Japanese novelty heavy metal band Animetal, released in Asia by Sony Music Entertainment Asia on April 7, 1998. The album consists mainly of Animetal Marathon mixed with select tracks from the band's singles along with those of Animetal Lady. Each track is labeled by the anime/tokusatsu title they come from, not by their original song title. [1] [2]
"Makafushigi Adventure!" (from Dragon Ball ) is an exclusive track not found in Animetal's other releases. [3]

Sad Wings of Destiny is the second studio album by English heavy metal band Judas Priest, released on 26 March 1976 by Gull Records. It is considered the album on which Judas Priest consolidated their sound and image, and songs from it such as "Victim of Changes" and "The Ripper" have since become live standards. It was the band's only album to feature drummer Alan Moore.
"Immigrant Song" is a song by the English rock band Led Zeppelin. It is built upon a repeating riff and features lyrical references to Norse mythology, with singer Robert Plant's howling vocals mentioning war-making and Valhalla. The song was included on their 1970 album, Led Zeppelin III and released as a single. Several live recordings have also been issued on various Led Zeppelin albums. Other artists have recorded renditions of the song or performed it live.
"Running Free" is the debut single by Iron Maiden, released on 8 February 1980 on the 7" 45 rpm vinyl record format. It was written by Steve Harris and Paul Di'Anno. The song appears as the third track on the band's debut album Iron Maiden. In 1985, a live version of the song was released as the first single from Live After Death. In 1990, the original single was reissued on CD and 12" vinyl as part of The First Ten Years box, in which it was combined with the band's next single, "Sanctuary". The 1985 live single was also released as part of this box set, combined with 1985's "Run to the Hills".
Animetal was a Japanese heavy metal band who specialized in metal covers of theme songs from classic and modern Japanese anime and tokusatsu television series.
Animetal Marathon is the first full-length album by Japanese novelty heavy metal band Animetal, released through Sony Records on March 21, 1997. The album consists of a non-stop marathon of metal covers of anime themes from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. A karaoke version of this album was also released on April 21, 1997. This is also the only studio album to feature the band as a quartet; all other releases have the band as a trio with a guest drummer.
"Flight of Icarus" is a song by the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden. It was their eighth single, the first from their fourth studio album, Piece of Mind (1983), and their first in the United States, where it was one of their few with substantial airplay, peaking at a personal best No. 8 on the Billboard Top Album Tracks chart. It was a lesser success in the UK, peaking at No. 11 on the UK Singles Chart.
"Virus" is a single from Iron Maiden, released in 1996. It is the first single since 1980's "Women in Uniform" that does not appear on any official Iron Maiden studio album. It was, however, featured as a brand new track on the band's first ever career retrospective – 1996's double-disc Best of the Beast. It is the only Iron Maiden song to be credited to both of the band's guitarists. It has never been performed live by Iron Maiden, but Blaze Bayley performed it several times in his solo career. Lyrically, the song warns of rising business and government corruption in an increasingly Internet-dependent world.
Animetal Marathon VII: Fight! The Metal Heroes is the seventh full-length album by Japanese novelty heavy metal band Animetal, released through VAP on October 21, 2005. The album consists of a non-stop marathon of metal covers of various tokusatsu themes: the first three songs are from the newest Super Sentai series at the time of the album's recording, tracks 5-34 are tokusatsu ending themes, and tracks 35-41 are opening themes of solo tokusatsu and Metal Hero Series titles. The last track, "Jump in the Fire!", is a marathon of anime songs adapted from manga published in Weekly Shōnen Jump. Animetal Marathon VII was also the band's final marathon album.
Animetal Marathon II: Tokusatsu Collection is the second album by Japanese novelty heavy metal band Animetal, released through Sony Records on February 21, 1998. The album consists of a non-stop marathon of metal covers of theme songs of tokusatsu series from the 1970s and 1980s. A karaoke version of this album was also released.
Animetal Marathon III: Tsuburaya Productions Collection is the third full-length album by Japanese novelty heavy metal band Animetal, released through Sony Records on October 21, 1998. The album consists of a non-stop marathon of metal covers of theme songs of shows produced by Tsuburaya Productions and Eiji Tsuburaya, primarily the Ultra Series.
Animetal Marathon IV is the fourth full album by Japanese novelty heavy metal band Animetal, released through Cutting Edge Records on September 12, 2001. The album consists of a non-stop marathon of metal covers of anime themes from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. It also marked the return of Animetal after a two-year hiatus. However, it was also the last to feature lead guitarist She-Ja, who was then replaced by Syu on the band's subsequent releases.
Animetal Marathon V is the fifth full-length album by Japanese novelty heavy metal band Animetal, released through VAP on June 25, 2003. The album consists of a non-stop marathon of metal covers: tracks cover anime themes from the 1960s to the 1990s, while tracks 18-34 cover tokusatsu themes also from that same era, including Super Sentai and Kamen Rider titles, and tracks 35-39 are covers of themes from Tatsunoko's Time Bokan series. Prior to the release of this album, guitarist She-Ja left the band. He was replaced by Syu, who has worked with metal bands Galneryus and Aushvitz.
Animetal Marathon VI: The Sentimetal is the sixth full-length album by Japanese novelty heavy metal band Animetal, released through VAP on September 22, 2004. The album consists of a non-stop marathon of metal covers of anime ending themes; mainly from the Super Robot series. Some songs were previously recorded as the band's 1997 single Sentimetal.
Decade of Bravehearts is the eighth and final studio album by Japanese novelty heavy metal band Animetal, released through VAP on August 2, 2006. Commemorating the band's 10th anniversary, the album features full length covers of various anime and tokusatsu songs that they have covered on their other albums, plus their covers of the themes from the 2002 Super Sentai series Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger and the 2003 anime series Godannar. Also included in the album is a bonus DVD.
Best of Animetal is a compilation album by Japanese novelty heavy metal band Animetal, released through Sony Records on May 21, 1998. The album compiles the A-sides of the various singles they had released from 1996 to 1998. With the exception of "Animetal", all of the singles were released by Sony.

Complete First Live is the first of two double live albums by Japanese novelty heavy metal band Animetal. Released by Sony Records on October 1, 1999, it was recorded at the band's debut concert at the Shibuya Club Quattro on March 23, 1997. An edited version of the concert was previously released direct-to-video as Animetalive in 1997.
