Sad Wings of Destiny is the second studio album by English heavy metal band Judas Priest, released on 26 March 1976 by Gull Records. It is considered the album on which Judas Priest consolidated their sound and image, and songs from it such as "Victim of Changes" and "The Ripper" have since become live standards. It was the band's only album to feature drummer Alan Moore.

It is built upon a repeating riff and features lyrical references to Norse mythology, with singer Robert Plant's howling vocals mentioning war-making and Valhalla. "Running Free" is the debut single by Iron Maiden, released on 8 February 1980 on the 7" 45 rpm vinyl record format. It was written by Steve Harris and Paul Di'Anno. The song appears as the third track on the band's debut album Iron Maiden. In 1985, a live version of the song was released as the first single from Live After Death. In 1990, the original single was reissued on CD and 12" vinyl as part of The First Ten Years box, in which it was combined with the band's next single, "Sanctuary". The 1985 live single was also released as part of this box set, combined with 1985's "Run to the Hills".

The album consists of a non-stop marathon of metal covers of anime themes from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. A karaoke version of this album was also released on April 21, 1997. This is also the only studio album to feature the band as a quartet; all other releases have the band as a trio with a guest drummer.

"Virus" is a single from Iron Maiden, released in 1996. It is the first single since 1980's "Women in Uniform" that does not appear on any official Iron Maiden studio album. It was, however, featured as a brand new track on the band's first ever career retrospective – 1996's double-disc Best of the Beast. It is the only Iron Maiden song to be credited to both of the band's guitarists. It has never been performed live by Iron Maiden, but Blaze Bayley performed it several times in his solo career. Lyrically, the song warns of rising business and government corruption in an increasingly Internet-dependent world.
Animetal Marathon VII: Fight! The Metal Heroes is the seventh full-length album by Japanese novelty heavy metal band Animetal, released through VAP on October 21, 2005. The album consists of a non-stop marathon of metal covers of various tokusatsu themes: the first three songs are from the newest Super Sentai series at the time of the album's recording, tracks 5-34 are tokusatsu ending themes, and tracks 35-41 are opening themes of solo tokusatsu and Metal Hero Series titles. The last track, "Jump in the Fire!", is a marathon of anime songs adapted from manga published in Weekly Shōnen Jump. Animetal Marathon VII was also the band's final marathon album.

However, it was also the last to feature lead guitarist She-Ja, who was then replaced by Syu on the band's subsequent releases.

Prior to the release of this album, guitarist She-Ja left the band. He was replaced by Syu, who has worked with metal bands Galneryus and Aushvitz.

Decade of Bravehearts is the eighth and final studio album by Japanese novelty heavy metal band Animetal, released through VAP on August 2, 2006. Commemorating the band's 10th anniversary, the album features full length covers of various anime and tokusatsu songs that they have covered on their other albums, plus their covers of the themes from the 2002 Super Sentai series Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger and the 2003 anime series Godannar. Also included in the album is a bonus DVD.
