The Greenwich Avenue Historic District is a historic district representing the commercial and civic historical development of the downtown area of the town of Greenwich, Connecticut. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 31, 1989. Included in the district is the Greenwich Municipal Center Historic District, which was listed on the National Register the year before for the classical revival style municipal buildings in the core of Downtown. Most of the commercial buildings in the district fall into three broad styles, reflecting the period in which they were built: Italianate, Georgian Revival, and Commercial style. The district is linear and runs north–south along the entire length of Greenwich Avenue, the main thoroughfare of Downtown Greenwich, between U.S. Route 1 and the New Haven Line railroad tracks.

It is a roughly rectangular area centered on West Main Street and Waterbury Green, the remnant of the original town commons, which has been called "one of the most attractive downtown parks in New England."
Sutton Downtown Historic District is a national historic district located at Sutton, Braxton County, West Virginia. It encompasses 85 contributing buildings and two contributing structures covering eleven square blocks. The district includes the commercial, ecclesiastical, and civic core of the town and surrounding residential area. The district includes a number of buildings representative of popular architectural styles from the late-19th century and early-20th century including Romanesque Revival, Colonial Revival, Gothic Revival, and Greek Revival. Notable buildings include the Braxton County Courthouse (1881-1882) and Jail (1905), Sutton Bank Building (1891), Farmers Bank and Trust (1909), Bank of Sutton, Methodist Episcopal Church, South (1896), Kelly / Fisher House. Elk / Midway Hotel (1894), and Katie B. Frame Residence. The two structures are the Bridge over Old Woman Run (1892) and Bridge over Elk (1930).
West Union Downtown Historic District is a national historic district located at West Union, Doddridge County, West Virginia. It encompasses 27 contributing buildings that include the commercial and civic core of the town, and surrounding residential buildings. The district includes a number of buildings representative of popular architectural styles from the late-19th century and early-20th century including Romanesque Revival, Neoclassical, and Queen Anne. Notable buildings include the Doddridge County Courthouse (1903) and Jail, Scott W. Stuart House, Silas P. Smith House, Town Hall (1893), Droppleman Residence, Michel's Pharmacy (1925). Empire Oil Building, and Myles Manufacturing Co., Inc.. Also located in the district is the separately listed Silas P. Smith Opera House.
Ripley Historic District is a national historic district located at Ripley, Jackson County, West Virginia. It encompasses 110 contributing buildings, one contributing site, and one contributing structure that include the commercial and civic core of the town, and surrounding residential buildings. It includes example of popular architectural styles of the late-19th and early- to mid-20th century, including Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, Art Moderne, Neo-Classical Revival, Italianate and Modern. Notable buildings include the U.S. Post Office, Phillips/Pfost House, Alpine Theater, Hockenberry Store building, Jackson County Courthouse (1918-1920), the Beymer House, and the Hinzman House. Located within the district is the separately listed Clerc-Carson House.
Ravenswood "Old Town" Historic District is a national historic district located at Ravenswood, Jackson County, West Virginia. It encompasses 313 contributing buildings and two contributing structures, the Ohio River Rail Road Steel Pratt-through truss Bridge and Concrete bridge on State Route 68 over Sandy Creek. It includes the commercial and civic core of the town, and surrounding residential buildings. It includes example of popular architectural styles of the mid- to late-19th and early-20th century, including Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, Italianate, Craftsman, and Bungalow. Notable buildings include the McIntosh Building, First Baptist Church, Randolph Building/Caldwell Building (1907), the Grace Episcopal Church ; Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ravenswood Community Center (1938), and McIntosh House.
Middlebourne Historic District is a national historic district located at Middlebourne, Tyler County, West Virginia. It encompasses 88 contributing buildings that include the civic, commercial, and residential core of Middlebourne. Most of the buildings in the district date from the late-19th and early-20th century in popular architectural styles, such as Queen Anne and Classical Revival. The two oldest are the Federal-style Quinif House (1805) and Gorrell-Wetzel House (1807). Other notable buildings include the Tyler County High School (1907), First National Bank (1902), Smith's Drug Store, Nadene Theater, The Powell-Shore House, the Weekley House, the Huth-Fletcher House (1895), and United Methodist Church and Parsonage (1910). Also located in the district is the separately listed Tyler County Courthouse and Jail.

Notable buildings include the Russell Building or Daily Oil Review Office (1832), McCormick /Henderson House (1880-1884), St. Paul's Episcopal Church (1885), Main Street School (1896), Union National Bank Building, Henneghan-Daly Block (1896), and Riverside Mill (1852). It encompasses 29 contributing buildings and one contributing site that include the civic and commercial core of New Martinsville. Most of the buildings in the district are two and three story masonry commercial structures dating to the late-19th and early-20th century in popular architectural styles, such as Italianate, Romanesque Revival, and Colonial Revival. Notable buildings include the New Martinsville City Building (1895), The McCaskey Building (1898), Winer's Department Store (1908), McCrory's, The Masonic Temple (1913), Theater/Palmer's Drug Store (1911), Lincoln Theatre (1920), United States Post Office (1931), Wetzel County Sheriff's residence (1897-1901), and Wetzel County Courthouse (1902).
Downtown Huntington Historic District is a national historic district located at Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. The original district encompassed 59 contributing buildings; the boundary increase added 53 more contributing buildings. It includes the central business district of Huntington, and includes several of its municipal and governmental buildings. It contains the majority of the historic concentration of downtown commercial buildings. Notable buildings include the Huntington City Hall, Johnson Memorial Church (c.1886/1912/1935), Trinity Episcopal Church (1882), Davis Opera House, Love Hardware Building, Reuschleins Jewelry building (1923), the Newcomb Building, the Morrison Building (1919), Keith-Albee Theater (1928), West Virginia Building, and Gideon Building. Located in the district are the separately listed Carnegie Public Library, Cabell County Courthouse, U.S. Post Office and Court House, and Campbell-Hicks House.
Alderson Historic District is a national historic district located at Alderson, Greenbrier County and Monroe County, West Virginia. The district encompasses 196 contributing buildings and three contributing sites located in the commercial district and surrounding residential section. They are predominantly 19th and early 20th century frame detached residences and masonry commercial buildings including notable examples of the Federal, Greek Revival, and Queen Anne styles. Notable buildings include the Woodson Mohler Grocery building, Johnson and Gwinn warehouse, Greenbrier Mill, First National Bank building, Alderson's Store, Chesapeake and Ohio depot, U.S. Post Office, and the City Hall (1939). The Alderson Ferry Site is for the ferry established 1789. Located in the district is the separately listed Alderson Bridge.
Moorefield Historic District is a national historic district located at Moorefield, Hardy County, West Virginia. The district encompasses 171 contributing buildings. It consists of a mix of commercial, residential and civic structures, ranging in age from the mid 18th century to the early 20th century. Predominate residential styles are Greek Revival and Queen Anne. The commercial buildings are Italianate style. Notable buildings include the Hardy County Court House (1914), City Hall, and Emmanuel Episcopal Church (1879). Located in the district are the separately listed Old Stone Tavern, Thomas Maslin House, and Old Hardy County Courthouse.
Wheeling Historic District, also known as the Wheeling Central Business District, is a national historic district located at Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia. The district includes 205 contributing buildings in the central business district of Wheeling. It includes the site of the original location of Fort Henry. The buildings are representative of a number of popular architectural styles from the early-19th century through the present including Greek Revival and Late Victorian. The District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The district encompasses 77 contributing buildings in the central business district of Clifton Forge. It primarily includes frame, brick, and concrete block commercial buildings dating to the late-19th and early-20th centuries. The buildings are in a variety of popular architectural styles including Classical Revival, Mission/Spanish Revival, and Italianate. Notable buildings include First United Methodist Church, the Sclater Building (1871), St. Tammany's Masonic Lodge (1888), Hampton Baptist Church (1883), Old Hampton Station Post Office (1914), and the circuit courthouse (1876). Located in the district and separately listed are St. John's Episcopal Church (1728) and the former Hampton City Hall (1939).

The district includes representative examples of the Federal, Greek Revival, Classical Revival and International Style architecture built between the mid-19th and mid-20th centuries. Notable buildings include the Equitable Life Insurance Building (1951), the Massey Building, and 400 East Main Street (1951). Located in the district is the separately listed St. Alban's Hall (1869).

Located in the district are the separately listed National Valley Bank and Augusta County Courthouse.
Gretna Commercial Historic District is a national historic district located at Gretna, Pittsylvania County, Virginia. The district encompasses 26 contributing buildings in the central business district of Gretna. The district primarily developed in the early-to-mid-20th century, with buildings dated between about 1881 and 1963. Notable buildings include the Thomas C. and Robert H. Creasy storehouse (1881), Masonic hall (1902), Bank of Elba (1907), Dalton building, W.D. Love and Co. grocery store, Amoco Service Station (1940), former Gretna Fire Station and Town Hall, and Berger Motor Co. (mid-1940s).
The Washington Avenue Commercial Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Iowa Falls, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012. At the time of its nomination the district consisted of 59 resources, including 42 contributing buildings and 15 non-contributing buildings. The district takes in most of the city's central business district. The buildings here were generally used for retail and office purposes. An opera house and theater are also located here. Around the edges of the district are buildings that housed automobile dealerships. The buildings generally range from one to two stories, but a couple structures are three stories in height. Built between the 1857 and 1960, the buildings are composed of masonry construction. The commercial Italianate and Classical Revival styles are dominant.
The Middlesboro Downtown Commercial District in Middlesboro, Kentucky is a 37 acres (15 ha) historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
