Timothy John Cramsey (born October 8, 1975) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Memphis after previously serving in the same role at Marshall University.

Coaching career

High School coaching

Cramsey got his coaching start, in 2001, as an assistant coach at his high school alma mater, Allentown Central Catholic High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania. [1]

In 2002, he moved to Emmaus High School in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, as an assistant. [1]

New Hampshire

In 2003, Cramsey returned to his college alma mater, the University of New Hampshire, as the tight ends and fullbacks coach. He held that position from 2003-2005, coached the running backs in 2006 and 2007, moved to quarterbacks in 2008. Prior to the 2009 season, Head Coach Sean McDonnell promoted Cramsey to offensive coordinator. He also continued coaching the quarterbacks through the 2011 season. [1]

Florida International University

From there, Cramsey moved to Florida International University as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the 2012 season. [1]

Montana State

From 2013 to 2015, he served in the same role at Montana State University. [1]

Nevada

In 2016, Cramsey jumped back to the FBS level, serving as the offensive coordinator for the Nevada Wolf Pack. [1]

Sam Houston State

In 2017, he served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Sam Houston State University. [1]

Marshall

On January 31, 2018, Head Coach Doc Holliday announced that Cramsey would join the Marshall coaching staff as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. [2] [3] In 2021 he was retained by Charles Huff as the team's offensive coordinator. [4]

Memphis

In January 2022, Cramsey left Marshall for Memphis to be Ryan Silverfield's new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. [5]

Playing career

Cramsey played quarterback for the New Hampshire Wildcats from 1994 to 1997. He was a two-year starter and four-year letter winner for head coach Bill Bowes. [1]

Personal life

The Allentown, Pennsylvania, native attended Allentown Central Catholic High School, where he quarterbacked the football team to their first ever state championship. He and his wife, Amy, have two sons, Brock, and Bryce. [1]

Mark John Whipple is an American football coach, who most recently served as offensive coordinator at Nebraska in 2022. Whipple was the head football coach at University of New Haven from 1988 to 1993, Brown University from 1994 to 1997, and stints as the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass), from 1998 to 2003 and 2014 to 2018. His 1998 UMass team won the NCAA Division I-AA Football Championship. He was the quarterbacks coach for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL) in 2011 and 2012. Before joining the Browns in January 2011, Whipple worked for two seasons as the offensive coordinator at the University of Miami. He previously coached in the NFL, working as a quarterback coach with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2004 to 2006 and as an offensive assistant coach with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2007 and 2008. On January 14, 2014, Whipple returned to UMass as head coach.

Randy Fichtner is an American football coach. He spent 14 seasons as a part of the Pittsburgh Steelers' coaching staff from 2007 to 2020. He most recently served as their offensive coordinator, a position he held for three seasons.

Daniel Patrick Enos is an American football coach and former player who is the offensive analyst at the University of Florida. He was previously the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Arkansas. He was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Miami in 2019. Enos served as head football coach at Central Michigan University from 2010 to 2014. He was also running backs coach at Michigan State University, where he played as a quarterback from 1987 to 1990.

Scot Loeffler is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head coach at Bowling Green State University. He formerly served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Boston College. He was previously the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Virginia Tech, having previously held the same role at Auburn University under head coach Gene Chizik. Prior to joining Auburn, Loeffler served as offensive coordinator for Temple. He has spent over a decade coaching quarterbacks, primarily in the Big Ten and Southeastern conferences. On November 28, 2018, Loeffler was named head coach at BGSU.
