Time of Our Lives is the ninth studio album by Australian pop singer Marcia Hines, released in 1999 by Warner Music Australia; it peaked at #17.
It was nominated for 'Best Adult Contemporary Album' at the ARIA Music Awards of 2000, [1]
In 1998, Marcia met with The Rockmelons' Bryon Jones and Ray Medhurst, who oversaw the production of the album and assisted Hines in selecting songs and producers for each track. The album was recorded between the UK and USA and took two years. [2]
Hines promoted the album in February 1999 by performing at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, and she opened the Sydney Olympic Stadium in front of 100,000 people. Hines embarked on touring throughout the latter part of 1999.
The Australian Jazz Agency said:
It's vintage Marcia[,] but it's also completely fresh and up to date. From the groovy reggae[-]based "Woo Me", penned by the Rockies as a nod to Marcia's West Indian heritage to slam[-]dunk dance tracks "Which Way is Up" and an updated version of a Marcia standard "I Got the Music in Me" produced in Chicago by hot dance re-mixer Mark Picciotti (sic). Then there are the big ballads, two of which are penned by the best in the business, Diane Warren (think Cher, Celine Dion, Bon Jovi). Marcia not only tears at the heartstrings, she rips them to shreds on these Warren originals, "When You Cry" and "Making My Way". A highlight of the album is undoubtedly a haunting version of the theme from Valley of the Dolls , which was first recorded by Dionne Warwick.
"It was a song I really wanted to sing but it's a really hard song to sing," says Marcia. "The day I came home from recording it I thought I could die now I was so happy with the vocal." [3]
The first single was a cover of Irene Cara's hit "What a Feeling" and peaked at #66 in Australia and #23 in New Zealand. The second single was "Makin' My Way" and peaked at #71 in Australia. The third single was the title track "Time of our Lives", a cover of a 1994 song by Alison Limerick, which peaked at #31 in June 1999. This was the highest-charting single from the album.

John Inglis Young, OAM, known professionally as John Paul Young, is an Australian pop singer who is best known for having a worldwide hit with "Love Is in the Air" in 1978. His career was boosted by regular appearances as a performer and guest host on Countdown, a 1974–1987 TV series for Australia's national broadcaster ABC. Besides "Love Is in the Air", Young had top ten chart success in Germany and the Netherlands with "Standing in the Rain" and four other top ten hits in South Africa, including No. 1 hits with "I Hate the Music" in 1976 and "Yesterday's Hero" in 1975.
Kasey Chambers is an Australian country singer-songwriter and musician born in Mount Gambier to fellow musicians Diane and Bill Chambers. Her older brother is musician and producer Nash Chambers. Renée Rebecca Geyer was an Australian singer who was an acclaimed jazz, soul and R&B musician. She released 15 studio albums with Moving Along (1977) and Tenderland (2003) both reaching number 11 on the Australian charts. Geyer's singles success as a solo artist in Australia were with "It's a Man's Man's World", "Heading in the Right Direction" and "Stares and Whispers" in the 1970s and "Say I Love You" in the 1980s. The latter also reached number one in New Zealand. Richard Clapton is an Australian singer-songwriter-guitarist and producer. His solo top 20 hits on the Kent Music Report Singles Chart are "Girls on the Avenue" (1975) and "I Am an Island" (1982). He reached the top 20 on the related albums chart with Goodbye Tiger (1977), Hearts on the Nightline (1979), The Great Escape (1982) and The Very Best of Richard Clapton (1982). Clapton's highest-charting album, Music Is Love (1966–1970), peaked at number 3 on the ARIA Chart.
Rockmelons, often referred to as the Rockies, were an Australian pop/dance/R&B group formed in 1983 in Sydney. Primary members are Bryon Jones, his brother Jonathon Jones and Raymond Medhurst. They had two Australian top five hit singles in the early 1990s with "Ain't No Sunshine" and "That Word (L.O.V.E.)", both sung by Deni Hines. The associated album, Form 1 Planet, peaked at number 3 on the ARIA albums chart in 1992, and was certified platinum in Australia.
Wesley Dean "Wes" Carr, also recording as Buffalo Tales, is an Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, best known for winning the sixth season of Australian Idol in 2008. He released his first studio album, Simple Sum, independently in 2008 shortly before entering Australian Idol. After Idol, he signed a record deal with Sony Music Australia and released his debut single, "You". The song peaked at number one on the ARIA Singles Chart and was certified Gold by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA). Carr's second studio album, The Way the World Looks, soon followed after. It reached number two on the ARIA Albums Chart and also achieved Gold certification. The second single "Feels Like Woah" peaked at number 14 and gained Gold certification. In June 2011, Carr released "Been a Long Time", the lead single from his third album. It peaked at number 33 on the ARIA Singles Chart. In November 2011, Carr announced that he was no longer with Sony and would be releasing his album independently. In August 2012 Carr released an EP titled Blood & Bone under the pseudonym Buffalo Tales. His third studio album "Roadtrip Confessions" was released in June 2013 and debuted at number 83.
"Inescapable" is a song by Australian recording artist Jessica Mauboy. It was written by Diane Warren and produced by Youngboyz, Anthony Egizii and David Musumeci. "Inescapable" was sent to Australian contemporary hit radio on 4 July 2011, and was released for digital download on 15 July 2011 as the first single from the deluxe edition of Mauboy's second studio album Get 'Em Girls. The song's lyrics revolve around "a relationship all gone wrong but also a celebration."
True Romantic – The Best of Kate Ceberano is a greatest hits album released by Australian recording artist Kate Ceberano. It was a commercial success, peaking at number 9 on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) album chart, and was certified platinum in Australia. Cosima De Vito, also known as Cosima, is an Australian pop and R&B singer-songwriter. Her passion and love for the music industry stemmed from her influential grandfather, who was a gifted Italian tenor.
