Sir Barry Alan Crompton Gibb is a British-American musician, singer-songwriter and record producer who rose to worldwide fame as a co-founder of the group Bee Gees, one of the most commercially successful groups in the history of popular music. With his younger brothers, twins Robin and Maurice Gibb, he formed a songwriting partnership beginning in 1955. He has lived in Britain, Australia, and the United States, holding dual UK–US citizenship.

Hines was voted "Queen of Pop" by TV Week's readers for three consecutive years from 1976.

Barry refers to it as "The most romantic album that I ever made", and remarks "I was so caught up in romance that I actually wrote music and lyrics to the title song while playing the piano facing the ocean, in a rented house on the beach in Atlantic City, New Jersey." The album was released in 1981, and it scored single platinum, as the previous album had.
"Ein bißchen Frieden" is a song in German, written by prolific German Eurovision-writing duo Ralph Siegel (music) and Bernd Meinunger (lyrics) for the Eurovision Song Contest 1982, held in Harrogate, United Kingdom. It was performed by 17-year-old German high-school student Nicole, resulting in Germany's first win at the Eurovision Song Contest by a record margin of 61 points, setting a new record for the largest winning margin that lasted until the Eurovision Song Contest 1997. Nicole's single is still the only Eurovision entry to top the sales charts in every territory it was released in.
"How Deep Is Your Love" is a pop ballad written and recorded by the Bee Gees in 1977 and released as a single in September of that year. It was ultimately used as part of the soundtrack to the film Saturday Night Fever. It was a number-three hit in the United Kingdom and Australia. In the United States, it topped the Billboard Hot 100 on 25 December 1977, ended the 10-week reign of Debby Boone's "You Light Up My Life" and stayed in the Top 10 for 17 weeks, being the first song to spend 17+ weeks in the top ten since Chubby Checker's The Twist. It was also the longest song to be in the top ten in one run. It would hold the record until "End of the Road" by Boyz II Men. The single spent 19 weeks in the top ten after the introduction of Nielsen Soundscan in 1991 allowed singles to achieve longer runs on the charts. It spent six weeks atop the US adult contemporary chart. It is listed at No. 22 on Billboard's All Time Top 100. Alongside "Stayin' Alive" and "Night Fever", it is one of the group's three tracks on the list. The song was covered by Take That for their 1996 Greatest Hits album, reaching No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart for three weeks.
Ultra Violet and I Found Love are two titles given to the seventh studio album released by English girl group Bananarama in 1995. Originally released in Japan only, with the title I Found Love, the album was renamed and repackaged as Ultra Violet in other countries, including the United States, Australia, Canada, and continental Europe, where it was marketed either at the same time or in the following years. Neither Ultra Violet nor I Found Love was ever released in the United Kingdom, where the band had not had any hits since their 1993 cover of "More, More, More".

Talk is the debut album by Australian rock group Paul Kelly and the Dots and was originally released on 30 March 1981 by Mushroom Records and re-released in 1990. Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons leader Joe Camilleri produced seven of the eleven tracks with three tracks produced by Martin Armiger and one by Trevor Lucas. The album spawned the singles, "Recognition", "Billy Baxter" and "Lowdown". Only "Billy Baxter" appeared on the Kent Music Report Singles Chart it peaked at No. 38. The album peaked at No. 44 on the related Albums Chart. All tracks were written by Kelly, including two co-written with guitarist Chris Langman.

The song was written by Bobby Wood, Roger Cook and produced by David Mackay and released in July 1981 as the lead single from Hines' fifth studio album, Take it From the Boys (1981). It became Hines' sixth Top 10 single in Australia. Later versions were recorded by The Duncans also in 1981 and Leo Sayer in 1982.
