Tinashe Hove (born 1 September 1984) is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played domestically for Matabeleland,Westerns,and Southerns.
From Tshabalala,Bulawayo,Hove made his limited overs debut for Matabeleland during the 2003–04 season of the Faithwear Inter-Provincial Tournament. [1] He went on to play two more one-dayers in his debut season,and also made his first-class debut,playing two Logan Cup matches. [2] A right-handed opening batsman,his opening partner during his early career was often Terry Duffin,a future Test player. During the following 2004–05 season,Hove scored a maiden limited-overs half-century,80 runs against Namibia. He put on 139 runs for the third wicket with Mark Vermeulen,who was (unusually) dismissed obstructing the field after making 105 from 96 balls. [3] [4] Later in the season,Hove scored his first and only first-class century,115 runs against Midlands in the Logan Cup. He briefly retired hurt during his innings,but returned to feature in a 131-run eighth-wicket partnership with Keith Dabengwa,who scored 161 from eighth in the batting order. [5]
Following on from his run of good form,Hove was selected in the Zimbabwe under-23s squad that played in South African provincial cricket during the 2005–06 season. He played one three-day match and three one-day matches,but failed to pass double figures in any innings. [1] [2] Owing to the ongoing Zimbabwean cricket crisis,domestic first-class competition were suspended during that season,but a Zimbabwe A team did host Bangladesh A in a five-week series in June and July 2006. [6] Hove scored two half-centuries in the three first-class matches played on tour,and was consequently selected for Zimbabwe A on its return tour of Bangladesh in December 2006. [7]
After the reorganisation of Zimbabwean cricket for the 2006–07 season,Hove was assigned to the new Westerns franchise. He scored only 124 runs from five matches in that season's Logan Cup, [8] and 76 runs from four matches in the limited-overs competition. [9] Despite his poor form,Hove was named in Zimbabwe's preliminary 30-man squad for the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies. [10] He did not make the final squad,and the 2006–07 season was the last in which he played regularly at a high level. He did not play any further first-class matches, [2] but represented Southerns in a single one-day match in May 2008. [1]
Mark Andrew Vermeulen is a former Zimbabwean cricketer,who played Test matches and One Day Internationals. He is a right-handed opening batsman and occasional off spin bowler.
Brendan Ross Murray Taylor is a Zimbabwean former international cricketer and a former Zimbabwean captain,who played all formats of the game. Taylor is a right-handed batsman but is also an off spinner. In 2015,former Zimbabwe captain Alistair Campbell described Taylor as "our standout player for the last seven or eight years". He is known for his unorthodox shots especially his ability to play upper cuts over the third man and ramp shots with elegance and are often considered as his trademark signature shots. His style of play and ability to make substantial contribution with the bat often drew comparions with that of Andy Flower. He represented Zimbabwe in four ICC T20 World Cup tournaments in 2007,2010,2012 and 2014. Also,he represented Zimbabwe in three ICC ODI world cups as well in 2007,2011 and 2015.
Sean Colin Williams is a Zimbabwean international cricketer and currently captains the national team in Test cricket,who plays all formats primarily as a batting all-rounder. In September 2019,Zimbabwe Cricket named him as Zimbabwe's captain,after Hamilton Masakadza retired from international cricket. Later the same month,Williams captained Zimbabwe for the first time,in the opening Twenty20 International (T20I) match of the 2019–20 Singapore Tri-Nation Series,against Nepal.
The Domestic Twenty20 formerly known as and Stanbic Bank Twenty20 the Metropolitan Bank Twenty20 is the domestic Twenty20 cricket competition in Zimbabwe. It was formed in 2007 and maintained by Zimbabwe Cricket. It features all the national and domestic players from Zimbabwe and some international stars. Recently,the tournament has risen in profile with some high-quality cricket,and the attraction of major international stars such as Brian Lara,Ryan Sidebottom,Chris Gayle,Shaun Tait,Ian Harvey,and Dirk Nannes. The tournament particularly rose in profile after the reorganization of cricket in Zimbabwe. It was so successful in the 2009–10 season that the tournament was again held in November. In 2009–10,a domestic-cricket record 7500 spectators came into the Harare Sports Club to see the final between Mountaineers and Mashonaland Eagles. It was most recently sponsored by Stanbic Bank (Uganda) Limited.
Craig Richard Ervine is a Zimbabwean international cricketer who captains Zimbabwe in limited overs matches. Ervine is a left-handed batter. He was born in Harare and has played Test and limited overs cricket for the Zimbabwe national cricket team and first-class cricket for a variety of Zimbabwean sides in the Logan Cup. He holds an Irish passport. In January 2022,in the opening fixture of the series against Sri Lanka,Ervine played in his 100th One Day International (ODI) match.
The Southern Rocks is one of five Zimbabwean cricket franchises. They are a first-class cricket team,based in the Masvingo and Matabeleland South area. They play their home matches at Masvingo Sports Club in Masvingo. The team initially ceased to play after the 2013–14 season. In their 47 first-class matches they won 3,lost 27,and drew 17. However,in December 2020,Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed they would be one of the teams playing in the 2020–21 Logan Cup Southern Rocks won their first Logan Cup trophy in the same 2020–21 season.
The Mashonaland Eagles is one of five cricket Zimbabwean cricket franchises. They are based in the Harare Metropolitan and Mashonaland Central area and play both first-class and limited overs cricket. They play their home matches at Harare Sports Club in Harare.
The 2010–11 Logan Cup was a first-class cricket competition held in Zimbabwe from 6 September 2010 to 3 April 2011. The tournament was won by the Matabeleland Tuskers,who defeated the Mountaineers by 18 runs in the final.

The Pro50 Championship,formerly known as the Faithwear Metbank One-Day Competition,Metbank Pro40 Championship,Faithwear Inter-Provincial Tournament,and Coca-Cola Metbank Pro50 Championship is the premier List A cricket tournament in Zimbabwe,organized by Zimbabwe Cricket. This tournament was started after the Zimbabwean cricket crisis,recommended by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It is jointly sponsored by Metbank and Coca-Cola.
Richmond Mutumbami is a Zimbabwean cricketer. A wicket-keeper batsman,Mutumbami made his first-class debut as a 17-year-old against Southerns in April 2007. Six years later,in April 2013,he made his international debut in a Test match against Bangladesh. He made his Twenty20 International debut against Pakistan in May 2015.
Brian Bara Chari is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He made his international debut for the Zimbabwe national cricket team in November 2014.

He moved to Namibia later in the decade,and went on to represent the Namibian national side at tournaments in South Africa and Zimbabwe. Having begun his coaching career while still playing in Zimbabwe,Manyande was appointed coach of the Namibian under-19 side in 2013,and has overseen its successful qualification for the 2014 and 2016 Under-19 World Cups.

The 2016–17 Logan Cup was the 23rd edition of the Logan Cup,a first-class cricket competition in Zimbabwe. It was held between December 2016 and May 2017. Mountaineers won the tournament,following a draw against Mashonaland Eagles in round 8 of the competition.
