Terrence Duffin (born 20 March 1982) is a former Zimbabwean international cricketer,who played Test matches and One Day Internationals,captaining the side in ODIs.
Duffin has played two Test matches for Zimbabwe against India as an opening batsman,scoring 56 in the first innings of that tour,making him the fifth Zimbabwean to score a half-century on Test debut. However,in the second innings,Duffin was dismissed for two by Zaheer Khan.
He was selected as the captain of the Zimbabwean One Day International team to play Kenya without having played an ODI. [1] He scored 53 runs in the first ODI and carried his team to victory. He adjudged man of the match for match winning contributions.
Duffin has also played 31 first class matches for Zimbabwe provinces Midlands,Matabeleland and the CFX Academy,as well as Zimbabwe A. In those matches,he has only got one century –117 in a drawn Logan Cup game with Manicaland in 2004–05,but he has recorded twelve fifties in first-class cricket.
In the summer of 2004 he was the professional for Irvine Cricket Club,who play in Scotland's Western Union Division 1.
The Zimbabwe national cricket team,also known as Chevrons represents Zimbabwe in men's international cricket and is administered by Zimbabwe Cricket. Zimbabwe has been a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1992. As of March,2022,Zimbabwe is currently ranked 10th in Tests,13th in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 11th in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) by the ICC.

His timing,elegance and placement of cricket shots are widely admired by cricket fans.
Tatenda Taibu is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who captained the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He is a wicket-keeper-batsman. From 6 May 2004 to 5 September 2019,he held the record for being the youngest test captain in history when he captained his team against Sri Lanka until Rashid Khan of Afghanistan claimed the record.
Mohammad Ashraful is a Bangladeshi cricketer,who has represented the Bangladesh national cricket team in all formats of the game and a former captain of all formats. A top-order batsman with a penchant for flashy stroke-play,he was also selected to represent the ACC Asia XI ODI side. Ashraful became the youngest cricketer to make a hundred in test cricket when he was less than 17 years old in 2001,his debut test against Sri Lanka.
Mohamed Farveez Maharoof,or Farveez Maharoof,is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer,who played in Tests and ODIs. He first made his impression in the 2004 U19 World Cup in which he captained the Sri Lankan team. He enjoyed a prolific school career for Wesley College,with a highest score of 243 and best bowling figures of 8 for 20. An all-rounder,he made his Test debut in 2004.
Geoffrey Robert Marsh is a former Australian cricketer,coach and selector. He played 50 Test matches and 117 One Day Internationals for Australia as an opening batsman. As the coach of Australia he was in charge when Australia won the 1999 Cricket World Cup in England. He later coached Zimbabwe (2001–2004) and Sri Lanka (2011–12).

The Indian cricket team toured Zimbabwe for cricket matches in August and September 2005. The Indians played in the Videocon Tri-Series in Zimbabwe,winning three of five matches but losing the final to finish second in the three-team tournament,and they played Zimbabwe for two Test matches in September 2005. The hosts Zimbabwe were ninth out of ten teams in the ICC Test Championship,with their last win against the top eight Test nations coming in June 2001,against India. They did not manage to win a match here either,as India,led by the performances of fast bowler Irfan Pathan,won the series 2–0 after an innings win in the first Test and a 10-wicket win in the second. India consolidated their third place in the Test championship with the win,which was also their first series win in Zimbabwe in four attempts.
Brendan Ross Murray Taylor is a Zimbabwean former international cricketer and a former Zimbabwean captain,who played all formats of the game. Taylor is a right-handed batsman but is also an off spinner. In 2015,former Zimbabwe captain Alistair Campbell described Taylor as "our standout player for the last seven or eight years". He is known for his unorthodox shots especially his ability to play upper cuts over the third man and ramp shots with elegance and are often considered as his trademark signature shots. His style of play and ability to make substantial contribution with the bat often drew comparions with that of Andy Flower. He represented Zimbabwe in four ICC T20 World Cup tournaments in 2007,2010,2012 and 2014.. Also,he represented Zimbabwe in three ICC ODI world cups as well in 2007,2011 and 2015.
Hamilton Masakadza is a Zimbabwean former cricketer,who played all formats of the game for Zimbabwe. He captained the national team during 2016 ICC World T20,but was relieved of his duties due to an indifferent performance by the team during the tournament,where they failed to get past the qualifying round. In February 2019,Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed that Masakadza would captain the national side across all three formats for the 2019–20 season.

Mushfiqur Rahim is a Bangladeshi cricketer and the former captain and vice-captain of the Bangladesh national cricket team. He is considered as the most successful captain of Bangladesh in test cricket. According to Jamie Siddons,the former coach of Bangladesh,Rahim's batting is so versatile that he can bat anywhere in the top order,from one to six. He is the highest individual scorer for Bangladesh in Test cricket. He is the first and only wicketkeeper-batsman in the history of Test cricket to score two double hundreds. He is also the first and only Bangladeshi batsman to score three double-hundreds in Tests. Mushfiqur is the only Bangladeshi player to win 150 international matches.
The 2006 international cricket season started with controversial ICC members Zimbabwe touring the West Indies for a series of seven One Day International matches. Because Zimbabwe recently pulled out of playing Test matches,the tour had to be rescheduled which meant the two Test matches were turned into limited overs games,bumping them up from the original five. After Zimbabwe's decision to leave Test cricket at the start of 2006,the West Indian Cricket Board had reconsidered the tour,but without any other team to play they had to appease both sponsors and fans. Although the teams lie next to each other in the ICC ODI Championship,West Indies holds 89 points in eighth place,47 more than the tourists' 42 in ninth.
The Zimbabwe national cricket team toured South Africa in October and November 1999 and played one Test match against the South Africa national cricket team. They also competed in the 2000 Standard Bank Triangular Tournament in January and February,playing six One Day International (ODI) matches against South Africa and England. This was the first time that Zimbabwe had toured to South Africa,although sides from both Zimbabwe and Rhodesia had played in South Africa as part of South African domestic cricket.
