Tipsport Liga (hockey)

The Slovak Tipos Extraliga is the highest-level ice hockey league in Slovakia. Since the 2018–19 season, the league also includes two teams from Hungary. In 2009, it was ranked by the IIHF as the fifth strongest league in Europe and in 2012, it was ranked by The Hockey News as the sixth-strongest league in the world behind the NHL, KHL, Swedish Hockey League, SM-liiga and Czech Extraliga. However, it has dropped significantly since then, with the American Hockey League, Swiss National League, German DEL and Austrian EBEL, among others, all now ranked ahead.

HC Košice

Hockey Club Košice is a Slovak professional ice hockey club based in Košice that competes in the Slovak Extraliga, the top tier of Slovak ice hockey. It is the most successful hockey club in Slovakia and the former Czechoslovakia, having won the Tipsport Liga eight times, the Czechoslovakian Hockey League twice, the 1st. Slovak National Hockey League once, the IIHF Continental Cup once, the Tatra Cup ten times, and the Rona Cup four times. The club is nicknamed "Oceliari", which means "Steelers" in English.

Kaufland

Kaufland[ˈkaʊ̯flant] is a German hypermarket chain, part of the Schwarz Gruppe which also owns Lidl. The hypermarket directly translates to English as 'buy-land'. It opened its first store in 1984 in Neckarsulm and quickly expanded to become a leader in what was formerly East Germany. The chain operates over 1,200 stores in Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Moldova.

The Czech Hockey Games, also sponsored as Carlson Hockey Games, is an annual ice hockey event held in Czech Republic. It is part of the Euro Hockey Tour. It was previously sponsored as the Pragobanka Cup, the Kajotbet Hockey Games and the Česká Pojišťovna Cup

Tipsport

Tipsport is the largest betting agency in the Czech Republic. The company was founded in 1991 in Beroun by a group of local businessmen led by Vratislav Randa, who is still a chairman of the board. The first branch was opened in May 1991. By now, the company has almost 700 branches across the Czech Republic. A real milestone for Tipsport was the license for internet betting in 2009. After more than 12 years, internet betting makes a 95% of all bets accepted by the company. In 2017, when the new Czech gambling legislation was adopted, Tipsport opened an online casino named Vegas.

Schwarz Gruppe

The Schwarz Group is a family-owned multinational retail group that operates grocery shops under the Lidl and Kaufland brands. It is the largest European retailer and the fourth-largest retailer in the world by revenue. The group operates supermarkets in most European countries and is currently expanding in the United States. A planned market entry to Australia was cancelled on short notice. The Schwarz Group stores sell mostly private label brands and Schwarz group also operates own production facilities for baking goods, softdrinks or ice cream.

The 2016–17 Slovak Extraliga season was the 24th season of the Slovak Extraliga, the highest level of ice hockey in Slovakia.

The 2017–18 Slovak Extraliga season was the 25th season of the Slovak Extraliga, the highest level of ice hockey in Slovakia.

The 2018–19 Slovak Extraliga season was the 26th season of the Slovak Extraliga, the highest level of ice hockey in Slovakia. HK Orange 20 is a project to prepare the Slovakia junior ice hockey team for the IIHF World U20 Championship. The team does not play a complete regular season and cannot advance to the playoffs or get relegated. Since the 2018–19 season, the league also includes two teams from Hungary.

The 2020–21 Champions Hockey League was scheduled to be the seventh season of the Champions Hockey League, a European ice hockey tournament. The tournament was planned to be competed by 32 teams, with qualification being on sporting merits only. The six founding leagues would have been represented by between three and five teams, while seven "challenge leagues" were to be represented by one team each. An additional spot would have been awarded to the 2019–20 IIHF Continental Cup winner. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, a revised schedule was presented that would have seen the season start directly with a 32-team play-off in October. However, because the situation did not improve sufficiently in Europe, it was announced in early October that the CHL board of directors had cancelled the tournament, without any games being played.

The 1st Tipsport Kaufland Cup was held from 7 September 2020 to 19 February 2021.

The 2020–21 Slovak Extraliga season is the 28th season of the Slovak Extraliga, the highest ice hockey league in Slovakia. The league also includes one team from Hungary.

The 2020–21 FC Spartak Trnava season is the club's 27th season in the Slovak Super Liga and 19th consecutive. Spartak will participate in the Fortuna Liga and Slovak Cup.

2021 Tipsport liga is the twenty-fourth edition of the annual football tournament in Czech Republic. Also, in Malta takes place the third edition of Tipsport Malta Cup.
