"Knights of Cydonia" is a song by English alternative rock band Muse and is the closing track on their 2006 album Black Holes and Revelations. The song's title comes in part from the region of Mars named Cydonia, famous for the "face on Mars".
"Points of Authority" is a song by American rock band Linkin Park. It is the fourth track on their first studio album, Hybrid Theory. Mike Shinoda's verses originally had different lyrics, and Chester Bennington's parts became no different from the Hybrid Theory version. The song was released in 2001 as a promo release. A CD single for the song was set to be released in the UK in September 2001, but instead, "Papercut" was released as the third single from the album. It was later planned as the fifth official single from the album, planned for a January 2002 release but was cancelled for unknown reasons. In its place, the song's remix version was released.
Evolution Theory is the debut studio album by British dubstep and rock band Modestep. The album was released on 11 February 2013 through A&M Records. The album charted at number 23 on the UK Albums Chart and number one on the UK Dance Albums Chart. The group performed on a headline UK tour of the same name from 2–17 February 2013, supported by album collaborators Document One and Koven. The track "Freedom" was due to be titled "We Will Not Fall" and feature vocals from Foreign Beggars, but the group withdrew from the track and the dub was renamed.

"Swoon" is a song by The Chemical Brothers, released as the first official single from their 2010 album Further. The song was played on a few occasions by The Chemical Brothers prior to its release in their DJ sets. On 6 May 2010, an official video of the radio edit was uploaded on Parlophone's official YouTube page for the single. The radio edit of Swoon was released as a digital download on iTunes on 9 May 2010. The song entered at number 100 in the UK Singles Chart, the lowest chart position the band has had to date, until it re-entered the charts shortly after at number 88 and again at number 85. Before the song appeared on Further, it appeared on a free CD which came in The Times newspaper; on 16 May 2010. The untitled CD is often called simply The Chemical Brothers – however, only the radio edit was featured.

"Blind Faith" is featured on the soundtrack of the racing video games Dirt 3 and Forza Horizon. The song was used by BBC Sport during its coverage of the 2013 World Athletics Championships.

Modestep are a dubstep and electronic rock duo from London consisting of Josh Friend and Pat Lundy. They were initially a band that formed in 2010, but former members Nick Tsang and Matthew Curtis left in 2014, Kyle Deek in 2016, and Josh's brother Tony soon followed in 2017. Their debut album Evolution Theory was released on 11 February 2013, including its five singles: "Feel Good", "Sunlight", "To The Stars", "Show Me a Sign" and "Another Day". Modestep's second album, London Road, was released on 25 May 2015, marking the band's first album featuring Lundy and Deek as members. Between 2017 and March 2019, the now-duo released four singles on record label Monstercat and two EPs on Disciple Records.

The song debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart, becoming the group's first chart-topping single. It sold 46,700 copies in its first week, the lowest first-week sales for a number one in 97 weeks. In 2013, the Skrillex and Nero remix of the song, won the Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical. "Promises" was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award in the category of Best Contemporary Song. The song was featured on a Hewlett-Packard TV commercial in the United Kingdom, France, United States and Latin America, giving it a broader audience and more recognition. It was also featured in trailers from the video game Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. It also featured in the 2013 video game Saints Row IV.

The song appears in the trailer of the racing video game Forza Horizon, as well as being on one of the radio stations within the game itself.
"Close Enemies" is a song by British recording artist Example. It was released on 11 November 2012 as the second single from his fourth studio album, The Evolution of Man. The song was written by Elliot Gleave and Alex Smith, the latter who also produced the song. It entered the UK Singles Chart on 18 November 2012 at number 37. Gleave and his band performed a live version of the song for BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge, which features on the Live Lounge 2013 compilation album.
