Evolution Theory is the debut studio album by British dubstep and rock band Modestep. The album was released on 11 February 2013 through A&M Records. The album charted at number 23 on the UK Albums Chart and number one on the UK Dance Albums Chart. The group performed on a headline UK tour of the same name from 2–17 February 2013, supported by album collaborators Document One and Koven. The track "Freedom" was due to be titled "We Will Not Fall" and feature vocals from Foreign Beggars, but the group withdrew from the track and the dub was renamed.
"Famous" is the second single by the English indie pop band Scouting for Girls to be released from their second studio album, Everybody Wants to Be on TV. The song was released as a digital download on 17 July 2010, with a CD released the following day, on 18 July 2010. The single was added to BBC Radio 1's B Playlist in June 2010.
"The Flood" is a song by British pop group Take That from their sixth studio album, Progress (2010). It was released as the lead single in the United Kingdom on 7 November 2010. The song is the first to feature Robbie Williams since his return to the band in July 2010, and features both Williams and Gary Barlow on lead vocals.
"Hands" is a song by English duo The Ting Tings. It was written by both Katie White and Jules De Martino and mixed by label-mate Calvin Harris. The single was released to radio airplay on 18 August 2010 after premiering on the Huw Stephens show on BBC Radio 1 at 9:30 pm; a remix was also released for free via digital download on 11 October 2010 on the band's Facebook page. The song was performed at the Wireless Festival, as part of the setlist; they were joined with dancers holding signs, saying work, which when flipped around, would say dance. The song debuted at number 29 on the UK Singles Chart. The line spoken by De Martino at the start of the song, "I don't want to go out. I want to stay in." is a reference to the first lines spoken in the David Bowie song "Modern Love", 'I know when to stay out, I know when to stay in and get things done.'
"Blind Faith" is a song by British drum and bass duo Chase & Status. It was released as the second official single, and the third overall, from their second studio album, No More Idols (2011). The single features vocals from Liam Bailey, and was released on 21 January 2011. The single peaked at number five on the UK Singles Chart, tying with "Count On Me" as their highest-charting single to date. The chorus of the song also features vocals performed by Yolanda Quartey. and samples from 'Let The Music Take Control ' by Joey Negro and the Sunshine Band. "Blind Faith" is featured on the soundtrack of the racing video games Dirt 3 and Forza Horizon. The song was used by BBC Sport during its coverage of the 2013 World Athletics Championships.
Modestep is a dubstep and electronic rock band from London consisting of Josh Friend. Their debut album Evolution Theory was released on 11 February 2013, including its five singles: "Feel Good", "Sunlight", "To The Stars", "Show Me a Sign" and "Another Day". Modestep's second album, London Road, was released on 25 May 2015, marking the band's first album featuring Lundy and Deek as members. Between 2017 and March 2019, the band released four singles on record label Monstercat and three EPs on Disciple Records.
"She Makes Me Wanna" is a single by English boyband JLS, from their third studio album Jukebox (2011). The song was released as the album's lead single on 24 July 2011 by Epic Records. It features vocals from American recording artist Dev. The song was written by JLS, BeatGeek, Jimmy Joker, and Teddy Sky, and produced by BeatGeek, Jimmy Joker, Teddy Sky. JLS said that they hoped the song would bring them "international success".
"All Fall Down" is a dubstep song by Austrian drum and bass duo Camo & Krooked. The song features trance music vocalist Shaz Sparks, who is known for her collaborations with drum and bass artist John B, with lyrics co-written by Robbie Bronnimann. It was released as a single along with the AA-side track "Breezeblock". The single was released in the United Kingdom on 3 June 2011 through Hospital Records. Both tracks from the single appear on their second studio album Cross the Line.
"Paradise" is a song by the British rock band Coldplay, released on 12 September 2011 as the second single from their fifth album, Mylo Xyloto. The song received its radio debut at 7:50 a.m. on The Chris Moyles Show on 12 September 2011. According to Coldplay's official website, the single was not initially chart eligible in the United Kingdom, because it was available on iTunes as an "instant grat" when pre-ordering the album. "Antidote" is a song by Swedish house music supergroup Swedish House Mafia in collaboration with Australian electronic music duo Knife Party. It was released on 16 December 2011 in the United States as the second single from the Swedish House Mafia compilation album, Until Now. The remix EP was released on 15 January 2012 for the UK digital download in the iTunes Store. "Antidote" was written by Swedish House Mafia members Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, and Knife Party members Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen. The song contains vocals by Swedish American hip hop recording artist Adam Baptiste, whose vocals are uncredited, co-written by Swedish songwriter Klas Åhlund.

The song appears in the trailer of the racing video game Forza Horizon, as well as being on one of the radio stations within the game itself.
"Close Enemies" is a song by British recording artist Example. It was released on 11 November 2012 as the second single from his fourth studio album, The Evolution of Man. The song was written by Elliot Gleave and Alex Smith, the latter who also produced the song. It entered the UK Singles Chart on 18 November 2012 at number 37.
