Thomas Read Wilson (born 12 November 1986) is an English television personality, actor and singer. After studying at the Royal Academy of Music, he appeared in an array of musical theatre productions and was a contestant on the fifth series of The Voice UK . Since 2016, he has served as the receptionist and client co-ordinator on the E4 reality series Celebs Go Dating . In 2021, he was the runner-up on Celebrity Best Home Cook .
Thomas Read Wilson was born in Berkshire on 12 November 1986. [1] [2] He is the son, grandson and great-grandson of teachers who taught at Bradfield College, which he subsequently attended before studying at Pangbourne College. [1] [3] Whilst studying at Rose Bruford College, one of his teachers, who also taught at the Royal Academy of Music, recommended their musical theatre course, which Read Wilson embarked on in 2010. [1] [4]
After his departure from the Royal Academy of Music in 2011, Read Wilson appeared in several pantomimes including Sleeping Beauty , Alice in Wonderland and The Cat in the Hat . He also appeared in concert with the Fingask Follies and portrayed Bill Yorke in the play Sweet Revenge. [1] In February 2016, Read Wilson auditioned for the fifth series of The Voice UK in which he sang "Accentuate The Positive" in the sixth blind auditions episode; however, he failed to receive a turn from the coaches. In August 2016, Read Wilson joined the E4 dating reality series Celebs Go Dating as the receptionist, which sees him greet the celebrities upon their arrival to the dating agency. [7] In 2018, he was promoted to junior client co-ordinator for the show's fourth series. [8] [9] He was promoted again to senior client co-ordinator during the eleventh series in 2022. [10] [11] Outside of Celebs Go Dating, Read Wilson has made guest appearances on Big Brother's Bit on the Side in 2017, Love Island: Aftersun , Britain's Got More Talent and Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two in 2018, and Hey Tracey! and Supermarket Sweep in 2019. In March 2020, Read Wilson appeared on an episode of Celebrity Mastermind , answering questions on the film My Fair Lady , and playing for his chosen charity Albert Kennedy Trust, subsequently winning the episode after answering all of his specialist subject questions correctly. [3] [13] In 2021, Read Wilson was a contestant on Celebrity Best Home Cook . He reached the final and finished as the runner-up. In May 2023, it was announced Read Wilson would play Squidward in the musical SpongeBob SquarePants . [20] [21] In August 2023, he guest appeared in Dictionary Corner on the Channel 4 game show Countdown . [22]

Celebs Go Dating is a British dating reality series. It began broadcasting on 29 August 2016 on E4, with the first series having 15 episodes. Paul Carrick Brunson, Anna Williamson and Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn appear as the dating agents, with Tom Read Wilson as a client coordinator. Rob Beckett narrates the series. Following the conclusion of the eighth series, two special editions of Celebs Go Dating were commissioned due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on television: Celebs Go Virtual Dating and Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion. The series has since resumed its regular format.

In April 2024, Laura was announced as the new co-host of Capital Breakfast on Capital Scotland, alongside Fat Brestovci.
