Tonya Paulsson (born 28 August 2003) is a Swedish artistic gymnast. She is the 2019 and 2020 Swedish National Champion and she represented Sweden at the 2018 Youth Olympics where she was part of the Mixed NOC team who won bronze in the mixed multi-discipline team competition.
Paulsson was born in Malmö in 2003. [1] She began gymnastics in 2010. [2]
Paulsson competed at the Unni & Haralds Trophy in Oslo where she finished fourth in the all-around but won gold on uneven bars. [3] The following month Paulsson competed at the Nordic Championships where she was limited to only competing on the uneven bars due to a knee injury. Despite the injury she helped Sweden finish first in the junior division. [4] She next competed at the Swedish National Championships. She once again only competed on uneven bars but managed to finish first amongst the juniors. [5]
Paulsson competed at a team selection competition for the 2017 Junior Nordic Championships where she placed first in the all-around ahead of Jessica Castles and she also recorded the highest scores on vault and uneven bars. [6] At the Junior Nordic Championships Paulsson helped Sweden finish in third place. Individually she finished sixteenth in the all-around but won gold on uneven bars. [7] In June she competed at the Flanders International Team Challenge where she helped Sweden finish ninth. [8]
In late June Paulsson competed at the Swedish National Championships where she won silver in the all-around behind Ida Staafgård, silver on vault behind Castles, gold on uneven bars, bronze on balance beam behind Staafgård and Castles, and fourth on floor exercise. [9] In November Paulsson competed at the Swedish Cup where she finished first amongst the juniors. During event finals she finished second on vault, first on uneven bars, third on balance beam, and fifth on floor exercise. [10] She ended the season competing at the Top Gym Tournament where she finished tenth in the team competition, seventeenth in the all-around, thirteenth on vault, sixth on uneven bars. [11]
Paulsson competed at the Youth Olympic Qualifier [12] where she finished in twelfth place and qualified Sweden for a spot at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics. [13] She next competed at the Nordic Championships where she helped Sweden finish second behind Norway. Individually she won silver in the all-around behind Mari Kanter of Norway, gold on uneven bars, and bronze on floor exercise. She finished sixth on balance beam. [14] She next competed at the Swedish National Championships where she placed first in the all-around, on uneven bars, on balance beam, and on floor exercise. [15] Paulsson competed at the European Championships but failed to qualify for any event finals. Paulsson was selected to represent Sweden at the 2018 Youth Olympics held in Buenos Aires. [16] While there she qualified for the all-around and uneven bars finals. [17] During the all-around final she placed seventh. [18] During the uneven bars final she once again placed seventh.
Paulsson turned senior in 2019. She competed at the Swedish National Championships where she won gold in all-around and silver on uneven bars behind Jonna Adlerteg. [19] She next competed at the Heerenveen Friendly where she finished seventeenth in the all-around. She ended the season competing at the Mälar Cup where she finished second behind Alva Eriksson in the all-around and on floor exercise. Additionally she tied for second with Eriksson on uneven bars behind Iida Haapala. She finished first on balance beam. [20]
In October Paulsson competed at the Swedish National Championships where she was able to retain her national title from the previous year. Additionally she won gold on balance beam and floor exercise and won silver on uneven bars behind Jonna Adlerteg. [21]
Paulsson competed at the European Championships where she qualified to the all-around final; she placed 14th. In September Paulsson was selected to compete at the World Championships alongside Nathalie Westlund and Jennifer Williams. [22]

Jonna Eva-Maj Adlerteg is a Swedish retired artistic gymnast. She won Sweden's first European medal in over 50 years when she won the silver medal on the uneven bars at the 2013 European Championships. She also won the silver medal on the uneven bars at the 2018 European Championships. She won the bronze medal on the uneven bars at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. She competed at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo and was the third Swedish female gymnast to compete at the Olympic Games.
Anastasia Andreyevna Ilyankova is a Russian artistic gymnast. She is the 2020 Olympic silver medalist, the 2019 European champion, and the 2019 and 2020 Russian champion on the uneven bars. She is a four-time FIG World Cup, and she finished fourth on the uneven bars at the 2017 World Championships.
Flávia Lopes Saraiva is a Brazilian artistic gymnast. She represented Brazil at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, and the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. She was part of the teams that won silver at the 2023 World Championships, gold at the 2018 South American Games and bronze at the 2015 and 2019 Pan American Games. Individually she is the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic floor exercise champion, the 2023 World Championships floor exercise bronze medalist and is a multi-medalist at the Pan American Games, South American Games, and Pan American Championships.
Diana Yevhenivna Varinska is a retired Ukrainian artistic gymnast. She is the 2019 European Games all-around and balance beam bronze medalist. Additionally, she was a member of the team that won Ukraine's first European team title at the 2020 European Championships. She represented Ukraine at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Ksenia Anatolyevna Klimenko is a retired Russian artistic gymnast. She is the 2018 Youth Olympics Uneven Bar Champion, the 2017 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival All-Around Champion and the 2018 European Junior all-around bronze medalist.
Anastasiia Yuriivna Bachynska is a retired Ukrainian artistic gymnast. She is the 2019 European Games floor exercise champion, the 2021 European balance beam bronze medalist, and the 2018 Youth Olympic all-around and floor exercise bronze medalist. She was also a member of the gold medal-winning team at the 2020 European Championships. Daughter of Yurii Bachynskyi.
Emma Spence is a Canadian artistic gymnast. She represented Canada at the 2022 World Championships and won a bronze in the team event, their first team medal. She won bronze with the team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Individually she is the 2018 Youth Olympic bronze medallist on vault as well as the 2022 Commonwealth Games all-around and balance beam bronze medalist.
Csenge Mária Bácskay is a Hungarian artistic gymnast and the 2018 Youth Olympic silver medalist on vault. Additionally she was a member of the team who won bronze at the 2020 European Championships.
Vladislava Sergeyevna Urazova is a Russian artistic gymnast. She represented the Russian Olympic Committee at the 2020 Summer Olympics and won the gold medal in the team event. She was a member of the team who won gold at the inaugural Junior World Championships. Individually she is the 2019 Junior World Champion and 2021 European silver medalist on the uneven bars.
Elena Anatolyevna Gerasimova is a Russian artistic gymnast who represented Russian Olympic Committee athletes at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She was a member of the team who won gold at the inaugural Junior World Championships. Individually she is the 2019 Junior World Champion on the balance beam.
Wei Xiaoyuan is a Chinese artistic gymnast. She is best known for her work on the uneven bars, where she is a two-time world champion, the 2022 Asian champion, and a two-time Chinese national silver medalist. In the all-around, she is the 2021 Chinese National Games champion and the 2020 Chinese national silver medalist. On the junior level, she is a three-time Junior World Championships medalist and the 2019 National Youth Games all-around champion.

She is the 2019 European Games floor exercise bronze medalist and the 2018 Swedish national champion. She is currently competing in collegiate gymnastics at the University of Arizona.
