Tori Tsui is a Hong Kong climate justice activist, author, model and spokesperson who currently resides in Bristol, England.
Tsui was born in Auckland, New Zealand and grew up in Hong Kong. [1]
She graduated in 2015 with a Master of Research in Ecology, Evolution and Conservation at Imperial College London. [2] A year after graduating, Tsui moved to Bristol to work in the natural history documentary industry. [3]
Tsui was involved in Extinction Rebellion. After creating media on the biodiversity crisis the creative director of Stella McCartney invited Tsui to model McCartney's global fall/winter campaign. The campaign, entitled ‘Agents of Change’, featured Jane Goodall, Amber Valletta and Jonathan Safran Foer. [4]
McCartney subsequently sponsored Tsui to sail across the Atlantic to COP25 as part of Sail To The COP - a think tank initiative involving 36 youths to attend the 2019 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Santiago, Chile. Due to civil unrest in Chile, the event was relocated to Madrid. While in Martinique, the delegates worked remotely on COP25. The ship finally docked in Cartagena. [3]
While in Colombia, Tsui spent three months facilitating a new project called Sail for Climate Action. The project's purpose was to bring Latin American, Indigenous and Caribbean youth activists to attend the United Nations Climate Change Intersessional SB52 in Bonn, Germany. [5] In Cartagena, Tsui was invited to replace David Wallace-Wells at the Hay Festival in a panel discussion on climate change. [6]
Later, Sail for Climate Action was rebranded to Unite for Climate Action. [7] The project collaborated with the German Ministry in 2020. [8]
In 2021, Tsui launched the Pass the Mic initiative with Dominique Palmer, Frances Fox, George Steedman Jones and Elijah Mckenzie-Jackson called Pass the Mic as a way to shed light on the climate crisis. The campaign was focused on targeting brands, figures and organisation to give the frontline climate activist and people affected by the climate change. [9]
Tsui has also spoken out on the #StopCambo Campaign against North Sea oil and gas in decision making spaces, leading a protest against Ben Van Beurden at TED Countdown in Edinburgh. Later that year she attended the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference. [10] Emma Watson invited Tsui to participate in a New York Times climate hub event alongside Amanda Gorman, Malala Yousafzai, Greta Thunberg, Vanessa Nakate, Dominique Palmer, Mya-Rose Craig, Viviam Villafana and Daphne Frias. In January 2023, Tsui was invited to be on the digital front cover of Vogue with Billie Eilish and Quannah Chasinghorse, Xiye Bastida, Isaias Hernandez, Ryan Berberet, Nalleli Cobo, Wawa Gatheru and Maya Penn. [12]
Tsui released her debut book, It's Not Just You (Simon and Schuster ISBN 9781398508729) in 2023. The book features interviews from Greta Thunberg, Vanessa Nakate, Mikaela Loach and Dominique Palmer. [14] The book was shortlisted for the 2024 Wainwright Prize for Writing on Conservation. [15]

Fridays for Future (FFF), also known as the School Strike for Climate, is an international movement of school students who skip Friday classes to participate in demonstrations to demand action from political leaders to prevent climate change and for the fossil fuel industry to transition to renewable energy.
The 2019 United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP25, was the 25th United Nations Climate Change conference. It was held in Madrid, Spain, from 2 to 13 December 2019 under the presidency of the Chilean government. Climate activist Greta Thunberg made a double crossing of the Atlantic Ocean in 2019 to attend climate conferences in New York City and, until it was moved, Santiago, Chile. She sailed from Plymouth, UK, to New York, United States aboard the racing yacht Malizia II, returning from Hampton, Virginia, to Lisbon on the catamaran La Vagabonde. Thunberg refuses to fly because of the carbon emissions of the airline industry and the trip was announced as carbon neutral. As a racing sailboat, the Malizia II has no toilet, fixed shower, cooking facilities or proper beds.

Licypriya has been campaigning for climate action in India since 2018, to pass new laws to curb India's high pollution levels, and to make climate-change literacy mandatory in schools. She has been regarded as India's Greta Thunberg, though she does not like the usage of this term.
Vanessa Nakate is an Ugandan climate justice activist. She gained international recognition for her climate activism in Uganda, where she began a solitary climate strike in January 2019.

Naomi Seibt is a German far-right political activist, best known as a climate change denier and for her opposition to climate activist Greta Thunberg. Until April 2020, she was employed by the Heartland Institute, an American conservative and right-wing public policy think tank, which marketed her as the "anti-Greta". She has spoken at multiple events organized by conservative think tanks and has self-identified as a libertarian and an anarcho-capitalist.
Hilda Flavia Nakabuye is a Ugandan climate and environmental rights activist who founded Uganda's Fridays for Future movement. She also advocates for greater gender equality and racial diversity in the climate change movement. One of her environmental concerns is saving Lake Victoria, which connects Uganda to neighboring countries. As part of her activism, Nakabuye visits schools and communities to empower more women to join the fight against climate change, stating that "the climate crisis has no borders". She also created Climate Striker Diaries, an online platform to encourage digital awareness about climate change.
Sophia Kianni is an Iranian-American social entrepreneur and climate activist. She is the founder and president of Climate Cardinals, a nonprofit offering climate change information in multiple languages, serves on the EPA's National Youth Advisory Council, and as an advisor to the United Nations. She is the youngest United Nations advisor in US history.
Leah Namugerwa is a youth climate activist in Uganda. She is known for leading tree planting campaigns and for starting a petition to enforce the plastic bag ban in Uganda. Following inspiration from Greta Thunberg, she began supporting school strikes in February 2019 with fellow Fridays for the Future Uganda organizer Sadrach Nirere.

Nkosilathi Nyathi is a Zimbabwe UNICEF Climate Advocate. Nyathi has been a fierce advocate of advancing Zimbabwe’s climate and environmental agenda from an early age. The teenage activist has demonstrated to young Zimbabweans that they can take powerful steps in mitigating climate impacts within their communities. Nyathi started his activism journey by using the power of visual media to document first-hand experiences of the devastating effects of drought, flooding, and soil erosion within his home community in Victoria Falls. Nyathi’s vivid video documentary has shed light on the raw experiences of the socio-economic damage climate impacts have to the fabric of his home community.
Dominique Palmer FRSA is a British climate justice activist and student. She spoke at 2019 United Nations Climate Change Conference, and began her activism as one of the U.K's leading U.K environmentalists and youth activists in the School Strike for Climate Movement.
Matilde Alvim is a Portuguese environmental activist, one of those responsible for organizing the student climate strikes in Portugal that were inspired by the activities of the Swedish activist Greta Thunberg.
