Torneo Regional was a promotion championship form the second level of the Argentine football league system.

The other league at second level was the Primera B Metropolitana, which is a competition for the numerous clubs in the city of Buenos Aires and the Greater Buenos Aires metropolitan area. [1]

The Torneo Argentino C was one of the two leagues that form the regionalised fifth level of the Argentine football league system. The competition was organized by the Federal Council, an internal organ of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), and was contested by clubs indirectly affiliated to the Association. In other words, the clubs that played in the tournament are affiliated to their local leagues, that in turn are affiliated to AFA.

The Campeonato Nacional was one of the two football tournaments that formed the Primera División season since 1967. The Nacional championship was played annually until its last edition in 1985.

The Torneo Regional del Litoral – Top 10 is an annual rugby union competition in Argentina. The tournament is contested by clubs from the Rosario, Santa Fe and Entre Ríos Unions, and is one of several regional competitions held in Argentina every year.

Club Atlético del Rosario is an Argentine sports club from Rosario, Santa Fe. One of the oldest clubs still in existence in the country, Atlético del Rosario was a pioneer of football in Rosario, being the first team from that city to play in Primera División, the top division of the Argentine football league system. At the international level, Rosario A.C. was also the first team outside Buenos Aires to win an international tournament, the Tie Cup on three occasions. Club Atlético San Lorenzo de Almagro is the men's professional club basketball section of the homonymous sports club based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
