Towhan (Persian : طوحان‎, also Romanized as Ţowhān; also known as Tehun, Toohan Olya, Toohan Sofla, Ţowhān-e Jīroft, Ţūjān, Ţūjān-e Jīroft, Ţūjān-e ‘Olyā, and Ţūjān-e Soflā)^[1] is a village in Dowlatabad Rural District, in the Central District of Jiroft County, Kerman Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 1,335, in 281 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.
