Toxic Holocaust is an American thrash metal band from Portland, Oregon.
Joel Grind founded Toxic Holocaust in 1999. He originally wrote and recorded all of the band's music himself, and after a couple of demo releases (Radiation Sickness, 1999; Critical Mass, 2002), he made his official album debut as Toxic Holocaust with Evil Never Dies (2003).
Two years later, after some touring with a hired backing band, Grind released the second Toxic Holocaust album, Hell on Earth (2005), which once again he wrote and recorded by himself. The album notably features cover art by Ed Repka, known for having created iconic covers for albums by Megadeth, Death and others. Extensive touring followed, along with a recording contract with Relapse Records.
In addition to releasing the third Toxic Holocaust album, An Overdose of Death... (2008), Relapse reissued Evil Never Dies and Hell on Earth. Toxic Holocaust also recorded and released a number of other recordings: Gravelord (2009, EP), Conjure and Command (2011), and Chemistry of Consciousness (2013).
In 2019 Joel Grind signed to Entertainment One, and released Primal Future: 2019 later that year. [1] Tours were planned but halted due to the spread of COVID-19.
Toxic Holocaust plays thrash metal thats heavily influenced by punk, and has been compared to bands such as Venom, Discharge, Motörhead, D.R.I., The Exploited and Slayer. [2] [3] They also take influences from first-wave black metal. [4]
Joel Grind is the frontman and main songwriter of Toxic Holocaust. [5] He now lives in Oregon. Grind began his musical career at a young age, [6] first playing drums. His musical influences included bands such as Metallica, Bathory, Venom, and Sodom. As a teen, he ran a home recording and mixing business for local bands. In 1999, he started Toxic Holocaust. Around this time, he picked up guitar.
Grind now works as a music producer, and has been involved in side projects other than Toxic Holocaust. He has released synth tracks, as well as metal albums for his solo projects War Ripper and the Yellowgoat Sessions. Grind is known for being social with his fans and can often be seen at the merchandise table before a Toxic Holocaust show.

The Supersuckers are an American rock band, formed in 1988, whose music ranges from alternative rock to country rock to cowpunk. AllMusic describes the band as "the bastard sons of Foghat, AC/DC, and ZZ Top after being weaned on punk rock, unafraid of massive guitar riffs, outsized personalities, or pledging allegiance to sex, weed, and Satan with a wink and a nudge."

Hirax is an American thrash metal band from Cypress, California. Starting in 1984 under the leadership of vocalist Katon W. De Pena, the band played in Los Angeles and San Francisco with several of their thrash metal peers such as Metallica, Exodus, and Slayer. The band was an early example of thrash metal, speed metal and crossover thrash, yet inspired by cross-genre influences including blues vocalist Sam Cooke, who De Pena once cited as "the greatest vocalist [De Pena] has ever heard."
Cable is an American band formed in 1994 in Rockville, Connecticut. They combine a hardcore punk and emo aesthetic with a rhythmically complex, often discordant metal-influenced musical approach. Lineup changes and delays between recordings may have hindered their notoriety over the years.
Machetazo was a Spanish grindcore/goregrind band from A Coruña formed in 1994. They were one of the few surviving bands from the Spanish underground extreme music scene of the nineties.
Lifelover was a Swedish band formed in 2005 by Jonas Bergqvist and Kim Carlsson in Stockholm. Following six years of activity the group split up in September 2011 after the death of Bergqvist, as he was the lead composer and one of Lifelover's founding members. While widely considered being metal, Lifelover combined several genres into their sound, citing black metal, post-punk, dark ambient, doom metal and gothic rock among other influences. The band called their music "narcotic metal", which was described in a Decibel interview with Carlsson where he stated "anyone should be able to figure that out [what that means] or make their own conclusion about it."
Seth Edward Putnam was an American musician best known as the founder and sole consistent member of grindcore band Anal Cunt. He was known for his high-pitched screamed vocals and lyrics that either shock, offend, or invoke morbid humor. Throughout his career, Putnam was also involved in numerous side projects.
Alessandro Nunziati, better known by his stage name Lord Vampyr, is an Italian musician, record producer and writer, famous for being the former vocalist of the gothic metal band Theatres des Vampires, as well as one of its founding members.

An Overdose of Death... is the third full-length album released by American thrash metal band Toxic Holocaust on September 2, 2008. Music videos have been made for "Wild Dogs", "Nuke the Cross", and "The Lord of the Wasteland". These songs are all staples in the Toxic Holocaust discography. Another song that displays an example of perfect performance in studio is “Future Shock”. Critical reviews also mark these as the best songs of a good but mixed album. The Album consists of solid guitar riffs delivered in time along with one of the greatest drum performances of the year. The Vocals delivered by Joel Grind are very brutal and black thrash oriented. This album is the first of which the black thrash operation released on Relapse Records.

Conjure and Command is a fourth studio album released by American thrash metal band Toxic Holocaust, released on July 19, 2011. This is the first release featuring a full band in the studio instead of Joel Grind performing all instruments and vocals himself. The most popular songs on this album are “Bitch”, “Red Winter”, and “The Liars Are Burning”. All of which have solid riffs in perfect timing.

Abigail is a Japanese black metal band from Tokyo formed in 1992. Their first gig was in August 1992, where they served as the opening act for Sigh. At one point in time, Abigail was hailed as "The Most Evil Band in Japan." Their debut album, Intercourse & Lust, was released in 1996. The band has released six full-length studio albums, and numerous more extended plays, splits, and live albums. Bandleader Yasuyuki Suzuki has cited Bulldozer, NME, Venom, Bathory, Hellhammer, Celtic Frost, the early works of Mayhem, Darkthrone, VON, Misfits, and GG Allin as influences.
