The Toyota Vitz is a subcompact car produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota from 1999 to 2019 in a three- or five-door hatchback body styles. The "Vitz" nameplate was used consistently in Japan, while most international markets received the same vehicle as the Toyota Yaris, or as the Toyota Echo in some markets for the first generation. The Vitz was available in Japan from Toyota's Netz Store dealerships. Toyota began production in Japan and later assembled the vehicle in other Asian countries and in France.
The Scion xB is a compact car made by Scion, a now-defunct fully owned division of Toyota, for the United States market. It is a box-shaped, 5-door hatchback.
The Toyota Yaris is a supermini/subcompact car sold by Toyota since 1999, replacing the Starlet and Tercel.

The Toyota Vios is a nameplate used for subcompact cars produced by the Japanese manufacturer Toyota, primarily for markets in Southeast Asia, China and Taiwan since 2002. Slotted below the compact Corolla, the Vios serves as the replacement to the Tercel, which filled the subcompact or B-segment sedan class in the region. It is also successor to the entry-level variants of the E110 series Corolla in some markets such as the Philippines and Vietnam.
The WiLL brand was a marketing approach shared by a small group of Japanese companies who decided to offer products and services that focused on a younger demographic from August 1999 until July 2004 in Japan. The companies that participated were the Kao Corporation, Toyota, Asahi Breweries, Panasonic, Kinki Nippon Tourist Company, Ltd, Ezaki Glico Candy, and Kokuyo Co., Ltd.. Toyota also engaged in a similar "youth oriented" approach in North America, with the Project Genesis program. This selective marketing experiment reflected a Japanese engineering philosophy called Kansei engineering, which was used by other Japanese companies. The Scion xD is a subcompact hatchback that was marketed in the U.S. and Canada by Japanese manufacturer Toyota beginning with the 2008 model year, as a five-door subcompact hatchback — replacing the xA. The Scion xD and the second generation xB were first shown to the public on February 8, 2007 at the Chicago Auto Show.
The Toyota Yaris Verso is a mini MPV produced by Toyota using the Yaris nameplate from August 1999 to October 2005. In Japan, it is known as the Toyota FunCargo. It is built on the same NBC platform as the XP10 series Yaris/Vitz/Echo. The FunCargo/Yaris Verso was replaced in Japan and Europe by the Ractis and Verso-S, respectively.
The Toyota SZ engine family is a series of straight-4 piston engines with a forward-facing exhaust. Toyota Motor Manufacturing (UK) in Deeside produces SZ engines for the Yaris. All three types of the SZ engine are built in Tianjin FAW Toyota Engine Co., Ltd. (TFTE) Plant No. 1 in Xiqing District, Tianjin, China. The 2SZ-FE and 3SZ-FE variations are also manufactured by PT Astra Daihatsu Motor's Karawang Engine Plant in Indonesia.

The Toyota B platform is a front-wheel drive automobile platform that has underpinned various Toyota models from the subcompact and compact categories. The B platform improves on and replaces the NBC and sits below the MC and New MC platforms. Automobiles based on the B chassis started production in 2005 with the XP90 series Vitz/Yaris.
The XP150 series Toyota Yaris is a subcompact car produced and sold by Toyota under the Yaris nameplate since 2013. Marketed exclusively for emerging markets, it is the hatchback counterpart of the XP150 series Vios subcompact sedan, which in some markets also shared the same Yaris nameplate. It is larger and longer than the unrelated XP130 series Yaris hatchback which was marketed in Japan, North America, Europe and Australasia, and the succeeding TNGA-based XP210 series Yaris.
The Daihatsu New Global Architecture (abbreviated as DNGA) is a modular unibody automobile platform that underpin various Daihatsu vehicles and its rebadged versions supplied for Toyota, Subaru, and Perodua. Introduced in 2019, it is aimed for vehicles built for the Japanese market and overseas emerging markets. Daihatsu has planned to introduce the platform to 21 models and 15 body types with a targeted annual production of 2.5 million vehicles to be sold in 90 countries by 2025. Despite the similar naming, it is not mechanically related to the Toyota New Global Architecture.
Toyota vehicles in Japan are distributed to numerous dealership chains throughout the country. Up to May 2020, each dealership chain had a different product offering, with some models restricted to one chain to maintain exclusivity. Since May 2020, every Toyota model in Japan was available in all dealership chains. Current dealership chains include Toyota Store, Toyopet Store, Toyota Corolla Store and Netz Store.
