Trans Canada Highway is an EP by Scottish electronic music duo Boards of Canada. [4] Originally scheduled for release on 6 June 2006, [5] it was published by Warp on 29 May 2006. [6] The album peaked at number 4 on the UK Independent Albums Chart, [7] number 8 on the UK Dance Albums Chart, [8] and number 12 on Billboard 's Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. [9]

Music videos

The opening track, "Dayvan Cowboy", also appeared on the duo's album The Campfire Headphase . [4] Melissa Olson directed the music video for the track. [10] The video pieces together stock footage of Joseph Kittinger's high-altitude parachute jumps for Project Excelsior and stock footage of surfer Laird Hamilton riding waves. [11] In 2009, Pitchfork placed it at number 39 on their list of the "Top 50 Music Videos of the 2000s". [10]

Covers

In 2011, Solange Knowles released a version of the track "Left Side Drive" with additional vocals. [12] Knowles stated, "It's completely unofficial, and was just inspired by the song which I had a deep love affair with for years". [13]

They continued recording intermittently until late 2012, when large parts of the album were recorded. Influenced by film soundtracks from the 1970s and 1980s, Tomorrow's Harvest features a more menacing and foreboding tone, with themes of isolation and decay.

A Seat at the Table is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Solange. It was released on September 30, 2016, by Saint Records and Columbia Records. While recording the album, Solange released an EP, titled True (2012) and launched her own record label named Saint Records. Writing for the album began as early as 2008, while the recording sessions took place from 2013 to June 2016. Solange enlisted a variety of collaborators including rappers Lil Wayne and Q-Tip; singer-songwriters The-Dream, BJ the Chicago Kid, Kelly Rowland and Tweet; and musicians Sampha, Kelela and David Longstreth.

"------ / ------ / ------ / XXXXXX / ------ / ------" is a song by the Scottish electronic music duo Boards of Canada. It was created to be part of and promote an alternate reality game focused their fourth studio album, Tomorrow's Harvest. It was exclusively released as a limited-edition single-sided 12" vinyl record. While the release of the single coincided with 2013's Record Store Day, the record was hand-delivered to record stores by employees of Warp Records. While six copies of the single are confirmed to exist, only three have been actually found.
