The Welsh football league system is a series of football leagues with regular promotion and relegation between them.
The Welsh Football League Division One, known as the Nathanielcars.co.uk Welsh League First Division for sponsorship reasons, was a football league in South Wales. It formed the top division of the Welsh Football League and the second level of the Welsh football league system until the 2019–20 season when it was replaced by the Cymru South. From the 2019–20 season it operated at the third level of the Welsh football league system.

Based at the Athletic Ground, Treherbert were one of the first professional Welsh teams, formed in 1908 but folding after just two seasons. Treherbert also produced a single player, David Galloway, who gained international caps directly from the team.

Based at the Athletic Ground in Tonypandy, Mid-Rhondda were one of the first professional Welsh teams, formed in 1908 but folding after just a single season. Ton & Gelli Boys & Girls Football Club are a Welsh football club from Ton Pentre in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. They play in the South Wales Alliance League Division One East, which is at the sixth tier of the Welsh football pyramid. They parted ways with former manager Warwick Thomas recently.
