Trevor Andrew (born 31 August 1979) is a Canadian snowboarder, musician and artist. He competed at the 1998 Winter Olympics and the 2002 Winter Olympics. [1] After an injury in 2005, [2] [3] he turned his attention to music, signing with Virgin Records and re-releasing his first album Trouble Andrew in 2009.

Snowboarding

Whilst riding for Burton Snowboards he competed in the 1998 Winter Olympics half-pipe event finishing in 29th Place and the 2002 Winter Olympics half-pipe event finishing in 9th place. [4] In 2004 after an injury which saw him break six ribs and crack vertebra he retired from professional competition. [5]

Guccighost

In 2012 Trevor came up with the alter ego Guccighost as a last minute Halloween costume. Continuing to use this persona he started to spread the logo around New York City until in 2016 his unique designs caught the attention of fashion house Gucci which led to an ongoing collaboration. His work was displayed across the facade of the flagship Gucci Fifth Avenue Store for the launch official launch of the fall winter 2016 collection, [6] [7] and has been worn by a number of celebrities such as Rihanna, Beyonce, Madonna, Nas and Zoe Kravitz. [8]

Art career

Further artistic endeavors since then has seen his work displayed in galleries worldwide amongst them Deitch Projects, Milk Galleries and Modern Art Museum Shanghai. [9] [10]

In November 2020 Trevor released his debut NFT collection on Nifty Gateway which was followed up in March 2021 with his Can't Kill A Ghost collection which sold for a total of $3.1 million. [11] [12] Since those releases, he has continued to work within the NFT space and has released his work at Sotheby's and Christie's auction houses. [13]

Mark Lee McMorris is a Canadian professional snowboarder who specializes in slopestyle and big air events. A three-time Olympic bronze medallist, he placed third in each of the 2014 Winter Olympics, 2018 Winter Olympics, and 2022 Winter Olympics in the slopestyle event. While filming for Transworld Snowboarding's "Park Sessions" video in March 2011, Mark became the first person to land a Backside Triple Cork 1440. More recently, on April 28, 2018, Mark landed the world's first Double Cork off a rail, the Front-Board Double Cork 1170, with a melancholy grab. Mark has also left his mark at X-Games and other events. In 2012 and 2013, Mark won back-to-back gold medals in Winter X Games in the slopestyle event. Half-pipe skiing is the sport of riding snow skis on a half-pipe. Competitors perform a series of tricks while going down the pipe. The current world record for highest jump in a half-pipe is held by Joffrey Pollet-Villard, with 26 feet 3 inches. The sport is considered to be dangerous compared to other sports, and helmets are required to be worn during competitions. Half-pipe skiing has been part of the Winter X Games since 2002, and made its Olympic debut at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. David Wise of the United States of America became the first Olympic champion in this discipline with a total of 92.00 points.

Ayumu Hirano is a Japanese Olympic champion and three-time Olympic medalist snowboarder and Olympic skateboarder. He won the silver medal in the superpipe in 2013 Winter X Games XVII at the age of 14, becoming the youngest medalist in X Games history, and won silver medals in the half-pipe at both the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang and the gold medal at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. He also competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo as a skateboarder, becoming one of the two athletes, the other being Jaqueline Mourão, who participated in all of the three consecutive Olympic Games in East Asia between 2018 and 2022.

Ester Ledecká is a Czech snowboarder and alpine skier. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Ledecká won gold medals in the super-G in alpine skiing and in the parallel giant slalom in snowboarding, becoming the first person to not only compete in the Winter Olympics using two different types of equipment but to go further and win two gold medals and do so at the same Winter Olympics. She was the second woman to win an Olympic gold in two separate disciplines but the first to do so at the same Winter Olympics. She was the first Czech to win the parallel giant slalom in snowboarding at the FIS Snowboard World Cup.

Taylor Gold is an American Olympian snowboarder. He competes in the halfpipe.

Kaitlyn Brooke Farrington is an American former professional snowboarder and amateur freestyle snowmobiler who grew up on a cattle ranch near Bellevue, Idaho, and now lives in Whitefish, Montana. She won the gold medal in the women's half-pipe competition at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Prior to her Olympic debut, she competed in the 2010 European Winter X Games and won the gold medal. On December 8, 2022, Farrington was announced as a backup crew member of the dearMoon project, a lunar spaceflight mission.

Melo Imai is a Japanese TV personality and half-pipe snowboarder. Her maiden name is Narita (成田).

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mike Winkelmann</span> American digital artist

Michael Joseph Winkelmann, known professionally as Beeple, is an American digital artist, graphic designer, and animator known for selling NFTs. In his art, he uses various media to create comical, phantasmagoric works that make political and social commentary while using pop culture figures as references. British auction house Christie's has called him "A visionary digital artist at the forefront of NFTs". Beeple was introduced to NFTs in October 2020 and credits Pak for providing his first "primer" on selling NFTs. The NFT associated with Everydays: the First 5000 Days, a collage of images from his "Everydays" series, was sold on March 12, 2021, for $69 million in cryptocurrency to an investor in NFTs. Pak, formerly known as Murat Pak, is a digital artist, cryptocurrency investor, and programmer. Pak is known for creating the curation platform Archillect, an internet bot which reshares media based on user interactions with content hosted on various social platforms and for launching a platform for burning NFTs to receive tokens of the cryptocurrency Ash.
