Trombay Thermal Power Station is a coal-based thermal power plant located at Trombay near Mumbai in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The power plant is owned by Tata Power. [1]
It has an installed capacity of 1430 MW. It has following generating units:
The first 4 units and unit 6 have been decommissioned and are no more functional.
NLC India Limited (NLC) is a central public sector undertaking under the administrative control of the Ministry of Coal, Government of India. It annually produces about 30 million tonnes of lignite from opencast mines at Neyveli in the state of Tamil Nadu in southern India and at Barsingsar in Bikaner district of Rajasthan state. The lignite is used at pithead thermal power stations of 3640 MW installed capacity to produce electricity. Its joint venture has a 1000 MW thermal power station using coal. Lately, it has diversified into renewable energy production and installed 1404 MW solar power plant to produce electricity from photovoltaic (PV) cells and 51 MW electricity from windmills.

NTPC Limited, formerly known as National Thermal Power Corporation, is an Indian central Public Sector Undertaking under the ownership of the Ministry of Power and the Government of India, who is engaged in the generation of electricity and other activities. The headquarters of the PSU are situated at New Delhi. NTPC's core function is the generation and distribution of electricity to State Electricity Boards in India. The body also undertakes consultancy and turnkey project contracts that involve engineering, project management, construction management, and operation and management of power plants.
Simhadri Super Thermal Power Plant is a coal-fired power plant located in the outskirts of Visakhapatnam city in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The power plant is one of the coal fired power plants of NTPC, a Government of India enterprise. The coal for the power plant is sourced from Kalinga Block of Talcher Coal fields in Odisha. The plant is a national asset, and power generated is shared between multiple states, as the operator is national. Power generated by units 1 and 2, making up for 1,000 MW, is dedicated to power distribution companies owned by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The remaining 1,000 MW, generated by units 3 and 4, is allocated to the states of Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Puducherry as per their shares as decided in PPA.

It is the 3rd largest operational power plant in India. The coal for the power plant is imported primarily from Indonesia. The source of water for the power plant is sea water from Gulf of Kutch. The power plant is owned by Tata Power. The special purpose vehicle Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd (CGPL) was incorporated on 10 February 2006.

It is the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), a joint venture company of APGENCO and IL AND FS partnership.
Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL), formerly Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) is a state-owned electricity regulation board operating within the state of Bihar in India. BSEB was established in 1958 as a statutory corporation under the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948. As of November 2012, BSEB has nearly 1,700 officers and 14,850 employees. The derated capacity comes to just 530 MW. The BSEB was unbundled on 2 August 2011. Power Finance Corporation was the main consultant for BSEB's restructuring.

Maithon Power Limited (MPL) is a joint venture of Tata Power & Damodar Valley Corporation, which has implemented the 1050 MW in Nirsa District Dhanbad in the state of Jharkhand in India. This project is India’s first 525 MW unit thermal power plants using subcritical technology, coal-based thermal power plant in the country and the first PPP venture plant in the country. This project is India's first Public Private power project.

Prayagraj Power Generation Company Limited is a coal-based, 3*660MW, super critical thermal power plant located in Bara Tehsil in Allahabad District, Uttar Pradesh. The power plant is owned by Renascent Power, a subsidiary of the Tata Power. The total cost of the project was INR 12,000 crores. In November 2019 Resurgent Power Ventures Pte. Limited has announced closing the deal for acquiring 75 per cent stake in Jaiprakash Associates Ltd's Prayagraj Power.
