It was merged into Westchester CDP for the 2020 U.S. Census. In 2010, the population was 26,995. It encompasses the Modesto A. Maidique Campus of Florida International University and the Fair Expo Center, and was the former name of the former's campus.

The Crandon Park Tennis Center is a tennis facility in Key Biscayne, Florida. It features a 13,800-seat venue named Stadium Court as its centerpiece, and was home of the Miami Open from 1987 until 2018. The Miami Open used twelve courts for competition courts, plus six practice courts. The facility is also home to two European red clay courts, four American green clay courts, and two grass courts. During the majority of the year when the Miami Open is not on site, the Tennis Center is a Miami-Dade County park that is open to the public year-round. All aforementioned playing surfaces, including the stadium court, are available for public use.
The Fort Lauderdale Strikers were an American professional soccer team based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida founded in 2006, that last played in the North American Soccer League (NASL), the second tier of the American soccer pyramid in 2016. The majority of their home games were played in Lockhart Stadium. The Strikers were named after the original Strikers, who played in the old North American Soccer League from 1977 to 1983.
Infinity Insurance Park, formerly known as University Park Stadium and FIU Baseball Stadium, is a baseball stadium located on the campus of Florida International University in Westchester, Florida, United States. It is the home venue of the FIU Panthers college baseball team of the Division I Conference USA. The facility opened on January 26, 1996, with a 1–0 FIU victory against Bethune-Cookman and was built on the same site as its predecessor, which had stood since 1965. All-American Evan W. Thomas threw a complete game shutout. University Park Stadium has a seating capacity of 2,000 people. The largest crowd in the stadium's history was 2,473 on February 26, 2002, when FIU defeated their cross-town rivals the Miami Hurricanes 7–1.

Tropical Park Race Track was a horse racing facility built on 245 acres (0.99 km2) at the current intersection of Bird Road and the Palmetto Expressway in Southwest Dade Miami part of metropolitan Miami, Florida and what is now Olympia Heights. The race track was built by Bill Dwyer, a prohibition era bootlegger, and Frank Bruen with backing from Canadian distilling tycoon, Samuel Bronfman. It opened on December 26, 1931, and closed January 15, 1972. The track hosted meets for both for Thoroughbred and Standardbred horses.
