The DePaul University College of Law is the professional graduate law school of DePaul University in Chicago. The College of Law’s facilities encompass nine floors across two buildings, with features such as the Vincent G. Rinn Law Library and Leonard M. Ring Courtroom. The law school is located within two blocks of state and federal courts, as well as numerous law firms, corporations and government agencies.
Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, IIT Kharagpur is a law school located in Kharagpur, West Bengal, India. An academic unit of Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, it is the first law school to be established in an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). It was set up in collaboration with the George Washington University Law School, Washington DC and is the only law school within the IIT system. The Berkeley Technology Law Journal (BTLJ) is a law journal published at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. It started publication in Spring 1986 as the High Technology Law Journal and changed its name to BTLJ in 1996. The journal covers emerging issues of law in the areas of intellectual property, cyber law, information law, and biotechnology, as well as antitrust and telecommunications law. The journal appears quarterly and its membership typically includes over 100 students. Law reviews are a source of research, imbedded with analyzed and referenced legal topics; they also provide a scholarly analysis of emerging law concepts from various topics. Law reviews are generated in almost all law bodies/institutions worldwide. However, in recent years, some have claimed that the traditional influence of law reviews is declining.
The Penn State Law Review is a law review and the flagship legal publication of Penn State Law. Its origins trace back to 1897 as The Forum, later renamed the Dickinson Law Review while affiliated with the Dickinson Law School, making it one of the oldest legal periodicals in the United States. When the Dickinson Law School merged with Penn State University in 2003, the name of the periodical was changed to the Penn State Law Review. Following the separation of the Penn State Law and Penn State Dickinson Law campuses into separately-accredited law schools in 2016, each school maintained separate law reviews; the name Dickinson Law Review was readopted by its respective law school, while the name Penn State Law Review was retained by Penn State Law.
Peter P. Swire is the J.Z. Liang Chair in the School of Cybersecurity and Privacy in the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Swire is also Professor of Law and Ethics in the Scheller College of Business and has an appointment by courtesy with the School of Public Policy. He is an internationally recognized expert in privacy law. Swire is also a senior fellow at the Future of Privacy Forum and has served on the National Academies of Science and Engineering Forum on Cyber Resilience. During the Clinton Administration, he became the first person to hold the position of Chief Counselor for Privacy in the Office of Management and Budget. In this role, he coordinated administration policy on privacy and data protection, including interfacing with privacy officials in foreign countries. He may be best known for shaping the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act Privacy Rule while serving as the Chief Counselor for Privacy. In November, 2012 he was named as co-chair of the Tracking Protection Working Group of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), to attempt to mediate a global Do Not Track standard. In August 2013, President Obama named Swire as one of five members of the Director of National Intelligence Review Group on Intelligence and Communications Technologies.
