Over the years, he has established himself as one of the finest actors in the Bengali film industry due to his versatility in various roles. His son, Bihu Mukherjee debuted in the film Abar Basanta Bilap.

This title was inspired from song Ki Kore Toke Bolbo from the film Rangbaaz, sung by Arijit Singh. The film stars Ankush Hazra and Mimi Chakraborty. Gotro (transl. Clan) is a 2019 Indian Bengali-language emotional family drama film, directed, produced and co-written by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee. It stars Anashua Majumdar, Nigel Akkara and Manali Dey, with Ambarish Bhattacharya, Saheb Chatterjee and Badshah Moitra. The film revolves around the relationship between Mukti Debi (Majumdar), a widow who lives alone in her mansion, with her caretaker Tareq (Akkara), an ex-convict and shows how their lives undergo a change.
Alo Chhaya was an Indian Bengali television soap opera which premiered on 2 September 2019 as a replacement of the popular daily soap Joyee and aired on Bengali General Entertainment Channel Zee Bangla and all old episodes are also available on the digital platform ZEE5. The series was produced by Susanta Das under the banner of Tent Cinema. It starred Debadrita Basu, Oindrila Bose, and Arnab Banerjee in lead role. The show went off air on 9 April 2021 due to low trp ratings.

Kishmish (transl. Raisins) is a 2022 Indian Bengali-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Rahool Mukherjee. This film is jointly produced by Dev Entertainment Ventures and M. K. Media. The film stars Dev and Rukmini Maitra. The supporting cast includes Kharaj Mukherjee, Anjana Basu, June Malia and Kamaleshwar Mukherjee.
