Acting career

Moitra acted in 2008 Bengali film Sedin Dujone directed by Atanu Bose, but she came into prominence after her 2011 film Bye Bye Bangkok . In 2012 she acted in few more discussed films like Kayekti Meyer Golpo of Subrata Sen, Accident directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee. [1]

Sedin Dujone is a 2008 Bengali film directed by debutant director Atanu Basu and released in 2008 featuring Amitava Bhattacharya and Kasturi. The film is almost directly from Priyadarshan directed Kyon Ki released in 2005, which was not an original storyline either. It was a variation on the famous Suchitra Sen-film Deep Jele Jai. This was later made into Hindi as Khamoshi, produced by Hemant Kumar and starring Waheeda Rehman. But like most of his peers, Bose does not credit his source.

Sujan Mukherjee is an Indian actor who works in Bengali language films, television and theatre. In 2012 he made his directorial debut with the film Ghete Gho. On 22 February 2016 his directorial debut, in the field of Theatre, Ghashiram Kotwal, which is an adaptation on Marathi play, was premiered. In 2018 he directed Don: Taake Bhalo Laage an adaptation of Dale Wasserman's Don Quixote which was translated into Bengali by Arun Mukhopadhyay many years back. This play marked the re-entry of Suman Mukhopadhyay as an actor after 25 years.
