Kalishankar or Kalisankar is a bilingual action film in Odia and Bengali language by director Prashanta Nanda in 2007. Kalishankar is quite similar to old Manmohan Desai films wherein brothers separated in childhood grow up to find themselves on two sides of the fence. Then, when they recognise their blood link through a birthmark or a talisman, they join forces to fight the enemy together. Kalishankar is a story of a pair of grandchildren and their grandfather's revenge on their wrongdoers. The film has much stick-wielding action.

It revolves around Dibakar Singha, the OC of Hridaypur Police Station, getting transferred to Howrah, where he looks into the gangraping and kidnapping cases done by the real estate agent Arjun Sarkar.
Nusrat Jahan Ruhi is an Indian actress and politician who predominantly works in Bengali cinema. Beside the acting career, from 2019 to 2024, Jahan has represented as the Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Basirhat constituency as a Trinamool Congress candidate. Jahan's screen debut was in Raj Chakraborty's Shotru.
