History
The first school to be built on the site of Twickenham School was named Whitton School. It was established in 1959, to cater for boys from the former Kneller School and girls from Stanley Road School. [3]
By 2001, the school buildings at Whitton, and other local schools, were considered inadequate for a modern education system. [4] In 2003, plans were put forward for it to be replaced by a Catholic Secondary School, with a new community school to be built on the site of Heathfield School, but these were not progressed. [5] The school was considered for rebuilding under the national BSF programme in 2007, but only one school in the borough could be selected and Teddington School was chosen instead. [6]
Whitton School was later re-built as part of the next Government's sponsored academies programme, [7] becoming Twickenham Academy in 2010, under the governance of the Learning Schools Trust. [8] [9]
Twickenham Academy was closed at the end of October 2016 and was replaced by Twickenham School on the first day of November 2016, under the management of Richmond West Schools Trust. [10] [11] [12] It moved to the larger Bourne Trust in September 2021. [1]

Fulwell is a neighbourhood of outer South West London in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It straddles the west of the "ancient" parish and urban district borders of Twickenham and Teddington. The name is first known in documents of the fifteenth century. It may be from a reliably full well or a corruption of foul well. Until 1965, Fulwell was in the historic County of Middlesex.
Teddington School is a co-educational state school for ages 11–18, located in Teddington in the borough of Richmond upon Thames in south-west London. It has had academy status since 2012, and is operated by the Bourne Trust. It opened a co-educational sixth form in 2014.

Hampton High is a co-educational Secondary School in Hampton in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, England. Its latest refurbishment, for £15m, was completed in 2014. The school has had three previous names and was founded in 1936.
The Twickenham Museum is a volunteer-run museum in Twickenham in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It is located opposite St Mary's parish church at 25 The Embankment, Twickenham TW1 3DU, an 18th-century three-storey building which has been listed Grade II by Historic England and was donated to the museum.
Turing House School is a co-educational comprehensive secondary school which was opened in 2015 in the London Borough of Richmond, south-west London, under the Government's free schools initiative. The proposal for the school was initiated by local parents in 2011 in partnership with the Russell Education Trust (RET), who operate four other free schools in the south and south-west of England.
