Twin Lakes is a pair of glacier-carved alpine lakes about 15 miles (24 km) south of historic Leadville, Colorado. They are downstream along the Arkansas River, whose headwaters are by Leadville. The lakes, however, are on a tributary, Lake Creek, which joins the Arkansas just below the lakes. After dredging, the lakes now have a surface area of 2,700 acres (11 km2), and they serve as a reservoir to store water for use in the Front Range. Both east and west lakes are recreation areas for boating and fishing.

Twin Lakes is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Mono County, California, United States. It is located on the east side of the Sierra Nevada, encompassing the lakes of the same name and extending north down the outlet valley of Robinson Creek. The community of Mono Village is within the CDP. The area is part of Toiyabe National Forest and is 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Bridgeport. It was first listed as a CDP for the 2020 census, with a population of 45.

Twin Lakes State Park is a 15-acre (6.1 ha) state park in Calhoun County, Iowa, United States, located near the city of Rockwell City. The park is composed of two areas on the eastern and western shores of the 453-acre (183 ha) North Twin Lake. It includes two beaches and fishing sites on the lake; while there are no boating facilities in the park itself, two public boat ramps can be found on the lake's south shore. The lake is home to bluegill, crappie, and walleye. The park also includes a picnic shelter built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in its eastern unit and a playground in its western unit. The eastern unit connects to a 7-mile (11 km) bike trail around the lake.
