Formed in 1997, Twiztid is composed of Jamie Spaniolo and Paul Methric, who performs under the respective personas of Jamie Madrox and Monoxide. Spaniolo and Methric are former members of the group House of Krazees which disbanded in 1997. They signed to Psychopathic Records in 1997 and released their debut album in 1998, Mostasteless.

The album is noted for its nu metal-influenced sound, a concept that Twiztid first explored on the album Mutant, although metal music on this record gets much more emphasis than the duo's characteristic hip-hop.

My Filthy Spirit Bomb is the debut solo studio album by American rapper G-Mo Skee from Richmond, California. It was released on December 2, 2016 via Majik Ninja Entertainment. Recording sessions took place at the Blap Cave in Vallejo. Production was handled by Chase Moore, C-Lance, David Rothbard, Fritz, Hopsin, Kage, Mok Beats, Nobe, Seven and YpOnTheBeat. It features guest appearances from the Inf Gang, Hopsin, Twiztid and D12 among others.
