Ubaghara is an Upper Cross River language of Nigeria. Most speakers (Biakpan, Ikun, Ugbem, Etono, Utuma) of the language use the principal Biakpan dialect or Biakpan Eburutu as it's commonly called. Ubaghara is closely related to Efik, Qua and Kohumuno languages of Cross River and most Ubaghara people speak the Efik language interchangeably.

Ubaghara people together with Umon people were the original Obutong natives of Old Calabar who migrated to present day Biase. This was due to numerous conflicts with their Efik kinsmen at the time.
