Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, also referred to as Ivano-Frankivshchyna, is an oblast (region) in western Ukraine. Its administrative center is the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. It has a population of 1,351,822.

Pavlo Vasylyk was a Ukrainian Greek Catholic hierarch. He was clandestine bishop from 1974 to 1991, an auxiliary bishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Ivano-Frankivsk from 1991 to 1993 and the first eparchial bishop of the new created Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Kolomyia – Chernivtsi from 1993 until his death in 2004.

Before he served as the Titular Bishop of Pulcheriopolis and Auxiliary bishop of Ivano-Frankivsk from 27 May 2014 until 12 September 2017.
Archbishop Volodymyr Viytyshyn is a Ukrainian Greek Catholic hierarch as an archbishop-metropolitan of Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Ivano-Frankivsk since 2 June 2005. Previously he served as a Coadjutor Bishop of Kolomyia-Chernivtsi from 13 May 2003 until 12 December 2004 and as an Eparchial Bishop of the same Kolomyia-Chernivtsi from 12 December 2004 until 2 June 2005.
