Bente Skari, née Martinsen, is a Norwegian former cross-country skier. She is one of the most successful cross-country skiers ever.
Hilde Gjermundshaug Pedersen is a Norwegian cross-country skier. Her first Olympic medal was a silver 4 × 5 km relay at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, she took the bronze medal in the 10 km classical interval start event. Pedersen is the oldest woman ever to win a cross country skiing World Cup race, which she did at age 41 in January 2006 in Otepää, Estonia.
Nils Emanuel Karlsson, better known as Mora-Nisse, was a Swedish cross-country skier. Karlsson won gold in the 50 km event at the 1948 Winter Olympics and nine Vasaloppet victories.
Bernt Assar Rönnlund was a Swedish cross-country skier. Rönnlund's biggest success was at the 1962 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Zakopane where he won two gold medals and a silver (50 km). As a result, he earned the Svenska Dagbladet Gold Medal that year for his championship successes. Rönnlund was the anchorman of the Swedish 4 × 10 km relay team at the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, bringing the team from fourth place to victory. Rönnlund also won the Vasaloppet in 1967 and the 50 km event at the Holmenkollen ski festival twice. For his cross-country skiing successes, Rönnlund was awarded the Holmenkollen Medal in 1968.
Sven-Åke Lundbäck is a former Swedish cross-country skier. He competed at the 1972, 1976 and 1980 Olympics in the 15 km, 30 km and 4 × 10 km events and won a gold medal over 15 km in 1972. He was close to a bronze medal in the 4 × 10 km relay in 1972, but fell near the finish; he had another fourth place in the relay in 1980.
Gert-Dietmar Klause is a former East German cross-country skier who competed at three Olympic Games from 1968 to 1976. He won a silver medal in the 50 km at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck.

Arthur Häggblad was a Swedish cross-country skier who competed in the 1930s. He won a bronze medal in the 4 × 10 km relay at the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Häggblad's best individual finishes were fourth in both the 18 km and 50 km events at the 1934 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. He would also win a bronze medal in the 4 × 10 km relay at those championships.
Svetlana Vyacheslavovna Nageykina is a former Soviet/Russian cross-country skier who competed during the 1980s, training at Spartak. She won a gold medal in the 4 × 5 km relay at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary for the Soviet Union.

She won a bronze medal in the 4 × 5 km at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec. Carina Görlin, born 17 February 1963 in Borlänge, Sweden, is a Swedish former cross-country skier who competed from 1991 to 1994. Competing at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, she had her best career finish of seventh in the 4 × 5 km relay and her best individual finish of 14th in the 5 km.
Sven-Erik Danielsson is a Swedish cross-country skier who competed from 1982 to 1998. His best World Cup finish was fourth in a 15 km event at West Germany in 1983.
Jenny Hansson, born 26 August 1980, is a Swedish former cross-country skier who competed between 2002 and 2013. Her best World Cup finish was third in the 4 × 5 km relay in Sweden in November 2008. Hansson's best individual finish was 39th in a 10 km event in Switzerland in 2007. She won Birkebeinerrennet in 2010, and in 2011 she won the women's race in the ski marathon Vasaloppet. In 2011, she won Tjejvasan.

Elin won the Tjejvasan in 1999 and 2006. and the Vasaloppet main women's event in 2007. She also won the women's Worldloppet in the 2006/2007 season.
