Ummon is the second studio album by French progressive rock band, Slift. The album was released on 28 February 2020 through Vicious Circle. Two singles were released ahead of the album: the title track, "Ummon", in 2019, and "Hyperion" in 2020.
Album art was done by French comic artist Caza (Philippe Cazaumayou).

The album was well received by music critics. On The Elite Extremophile, the website gave Ummon a 93 out of 100 saying that Ummon "[has] harnessed the menace of doom metal, the energy of garage rock, the hypnotic repetition of krautrock, and the general strangeness of prog. They put those elements together in an impressive and intense package. This album is demanding, but it is worth your time and energy." [2] Nathan Whittle, writing for Louder than War , gave Ummon a four out of five, saying that Ummon "the fuzz pedal clicks on though, the band launch as one in a full-on attack. On their journey, they are switching between the sounds of them slamming on the rocket boosters and then lifting off to float off into the heavens." [3] Writing for Classic Rock magazine, [1] Jo Kendall gave the album a 7 out of 10. Kendall compared the album to the works of Pink Floyd and Thee Oh Sees and wrote, "generally it’s all psych rockets blasting as the Toulouse trio soar to space-prog's summit," calling the album "a high-octane 11 tracker."
In a staff review for Sputnikmusic, the album was described as a "ravaging, colourful journey that pushes and breaks through boundaries without production tricks of any kind, relying on a fantastic live performance to bring to life one of the best albums of the year." The staff gave it a 4.6 out of 5. [4]

Heaven & Earth is the twenty-first studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes. It was released on 16 July 2014 on Frontiers Records and is the first album with lead vocalist Jon Davison and the final album to feature founding bassist Chris Squire before his death in 2015. David Longdon was a British singer and multi-instrumentalist, who was best known as the lead vocalist and co-songwriter of the progressive rock band Big Big Train. Besides singing, Longdon played flute, keyboards, acoustic and electric 6 & 12 string guitars, bass, mandolin, lute, banjo, accordion, percussion, dulcimer, psaltry, vibraphone, theremin and glockenspiel.
Wolf People are an English psychedelic rock band, formed by singer and guitarist Jack Sharp in Bedford in 2005. The band announced an indefinite hiatus in January 2020.
The Optimist is the eleventh and final studio album by rock band Anathema. The album was released on 9 June 2017, through Kscope, three years after their last release, Distant Satellites. The idea for The Optimist originated from the cover artwork of the album A Fine Day to Exit (2001). The coordinates from the first track are pointing to Silver Strand beach in San Diego County, the location that is shown on the cover of A Fine Day to Exit. Pitfalls is the sixth studio album by Norwegian progressive metal band Leprous, released on 25 October 2019 via Inside Out Music and preceded by the singles "Below", "Alleviate", and "Distant Bells". It was recorded over six months at Ghostward Studios. A cellist, violinist, and classical choir were recruited for the production. Most of the songs were written and composed by Leprous vocalist Einar Solberg.

Slift is a French rock band from Toulouse. The band consists of brothers Jean and Rémi Fossat (bass), and their high school friend Canek Flores (drums). Since forming in 2016, the band has released three LPs, one EP, and multiple live sessions, in addition to touring internationally in Europe and North America.
Omnium Gatherum is the 20th studio album and first double album by Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, released on 22 April 2022. The album was announced on 8 March 2022 and made available for pre-order on 22 March. It marked the first studio release where all band members are playing together live since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. As with previous releases, the album features music of numerous genres, including psychedelia, progressive rock, heavy metal and synth-pop, as well as the band's first experiments with hip hop. It received generally positive reviews, although critics were divided on its length and consistency.
