The Union for Europe (UFE) was a conservative political group in the European Parliament that existed from 1995 to 1999. The group was formed during the 4th European Parliament term in July 1995 from a merger of the European Democratic Alliance and Forza Europa parliamentary groups, [3] [4] becoming the third largest group by number of MEPs. [5] The group was succeeded in the 5th European Parliament by the Union for Europe of the Nations (UEN), [6] while key UFE member parties Forza Italia and Rally for the Republic instead joined the European People's Party. [3]

National Alliance was a national conservative political party in Italy. It was the successor of the Italian Social Movement (MSI), a neo-fascist party founded in 1946 by former followers of Benito Mussolini that had moderated its policies over its last decades and finally distanced itself from its former ideology, a move known as post-fascismo, during a convention in Fiuggi by dissolving into the new party in 1995.
