Universe Cineplex (also known as Universal Cineplex) is a movie theater and cinema chain in Karachi, Pakistan. It was launched in September 2003 at Seaview. [1] It operates five multiplex type cinemas. Cinema is only allowed to families. [2]

Criticism

In 2010 Universe Cineplex showed pirated prints of Milenge Milenge and Knight and Day in the cinema. Cinema of Karachi took action on the cinema. [2]

KCR is intended to be an inter-regional public transit system in Karachi which would connect several industrial and commercial districts within the city to the outlying suburbs. The revival effort of KCR have been proposed several times since becoming defunct, though remained unfulfilled due to lack of financial and political backing. In May 2017, the Government of Pakistan approved a 27.9 billion (US$260 million) restoration package for the KCR.
