The Estadio Universitario is a multi-use stadium in Caracas, Venezuela, and is used mostly for baseball games. The stadium holds 20,723 people and was built in 1952.

The Estadio Universitario served as the home stadium for the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League club Leones del Caracas until 2023 and the Tiburones de la Guaira as well until 2019, though they still use the stadium as a secondary home. [2]

The Tiburones de La Guaira are a baseball team in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP). Though they nominally represent La Guaira, they also play home games at the Estadio Universitario in nearby Caracas. Tiburones have won eight national championships since their founding in 1962, most recently in 2024.

After nine years of absence, the thirteenth edition of the Caribbean Series was revived in 1970 without the representing baseball clubs of Cuba and Panama. It was held in Caracas, Venezuela from February 5 to February 10 at Estadio Universitario, featuring the original members of the first stage. Puerto Rico was represented by the Leones de Ponce, while the host Navegantes del Magallanes represented Venezuela. The Dominican Republic debuted in the Series and was represented by the Tigres del Licey to complete a three-team tournament. The format consisted of 12 games, with each team facing the other competitors three times. Because the series was so small, each team had to face each other in one night.

Estadio Monumental de Caracas Simón Bolívar is a baseball stadium in the city of Caracas. Specifically, it is located in the neighborhood of La Rinconada next to the Poliedro de Caracas, the Rinconada Racetrack and the future Venezuelan National Football Stadium in the so-called "Hugo Chávez" Park in the Coche parish, south of the Libertador municipality and the Capital District and west of the metropolitan area of Caracas in Venezuela. For this reason, it is also known as Estadio de Béisbol La Rinconada.
