The University of Santo Tomas has appeared on Philippine postage stamps, a banknote, and commemorative coins and medals.
The 345th anniversary of the university is commemorated on the 5-centavo and 60-centavo stamp. The stamps featured the columns and the sprandel of the Arch of the Centuries and the UST Main Building. [1]
The 5c stamp depicts the UST and Ateneo de Municipal campuses in Intramuros while Jose Rizal was still a student.
The 5-centavo and 2-peso Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and the Faculty of Pharmacy commemorative stamps were issued in 1971, on the centennial year of their foundation. The stamps feature the shield logos of the two faculties and the UST Main Building's tower. [1]
The College of Science and College of Education 50th anniversary was celebrated with 15-centavo and 50-centavo stamps in 1976. Both stamps feature the their college logos.
The 4-peso stamp depicts the UST building in Intramuros as part of the historical places during Jose Rizal's life. [2]
The 2011 stamp features Pope John Paul II with the UST Main Building in the background. It depicts the beatification of the pope on May 1, 2011. [3]

Banknotes of the Philippine peso are issued by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas for circulation in the Philippines. Half of the current structure, the side facing the UST Main Building is the ruins of the 17th-century arch door of the first UST campus in Intramuros, while the side that faces España Boulevard is a replica inaugurated in 1954.

The University of Santo Tomas is one of the oldest existing universities and holds the oldest extant university charter in the Philippines and in Asia. It was founded on April 28, 1611, by the third Archbishop of Manila, Miguel de Benavides, together with Domingo de Nieva and Bernardo de Santa Catalina. It was originally conceived as a school to prepare young men for the priesthood. Located Intramuros, it was first called Colegio de Nuestra Señora del Santísimo Rosario and later renamed Colegio de Santo Tomás in memory of Dominican theologian Saint Thomas Aquinas. In 1624, the colegio was authorized to confer academic degrees in theology, philosophy, and arts. On November 20, 1645, after representations by Vittorio Riccio, Pope Innocent X elevated the college to the rank of a university and in 1680 it was placed under royal patronage.
The Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas (UST) Quadricentennial Celebration took place from December 18, 2009 to January 27, 2012. The agenda before the quadricentennial year in 2011 included the introduction of new academic programs, improvements in the university's infrastructure, and other projects to raise UST's national and international prominence and promote its role as a social catalyst.
The New Design Series (NDS) (also known as the BSP Series after the establishment of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) was the name used to refer to the banknotes of the Philippine peso conceptualized from 1983 to 1985, issued from 1985 to 2013 and circulated from 1985 to 2019 including commemorative notes, and coins issued from 1995 to 2017. The coins were minted and issued from c. December 1995 to November 30, 2017, and remain legal tender as of 2023. It was succeeded by the New Generation Currency (NGC) Series that was conceptualized from 2007 to 2010, and issued on December 16, 2010 for banknotes and November 30, 2017 for coins. The series used the Friz Quadrata, Arial, Optima, and Helvetica typeface.

President Diosdado Macapagal is currently featured on the front side of the note, and since 2017, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's inauguration as the 14th President of the Philippines is on the lower-left side on the note just in front of the scene of the Declaration of Philippine Independence, and the scene of the opening of the Malolos Congress is also present on the obverse side of the note. From 2010 to 2017, the Aguinaldo Shrine and the Barasoain Church were featured on the front side of the note. The Chocolate Hills and the Philippine tarsier is featured on the reverse side. Compared to other denominations the note is relatively uncommon.
The Philippine five-peso note (₱5) was a denomination of Philippine currency. Philippine president Emilio Aguinaldo is featured on the front side of the note, while the Declaration of the Philippine Independence is featured on the reverse side. This banknote was circulated until the demonetization of main banknotes under the New Design Series on January 3, 2018. Its printing was stopped in 1995 and was replaced by coins.

The Ang Bagong Lipunan Series is the name used to refer to Philippine banknotes and coins issued by the Central Bank of the Philippines from 1973 to 1985. It was succeeded by the New Design series of banknotes. The lowest denomination of the series is 2-piso and the highest is 100-piso.
The New Generation Currency (NGC) Series is the name used to refer to the Philippine peso currency series conceptualized from 2007 to 2010, and banknotes issued since 2010 and coins issued since 2017. The series uses the Myriad and Twentieth Century typefaces.

The Benavides Monument is a memorial in the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines built to commemorate the founder of the University of Santo Tomas, Miguel de Benavides. Located in the Plaza Benavides in front of the UST Main Building, the monument consists of a bronze statue of Benavides rising on top of a granite pedestal. The present monument was unveiled in 1946.
