Lake of the Woods County is a county in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 3,763, making it the second-least populous county in Minnesota. Its county seat is Baudette.
A minor civil division (MCD) is a term used by the United States Census Bureau for primary governmental and/or administrative divisions of a county or county-equivalent, typically a municipal government such as a city, town, or civil township. Manitoba's Swan-Pelican Provincial Forest lies just west of Lake Winnipegosis, and is named for the two smaller lakes in the area, Swan Lake and Pelican Lake.
