Until We Meet Again is the debut extended play (EP) by rock supergroup White Noise Owl. It was released on March 11, 2014. A promotional single, "Feed", was released a week prior on March 5, 2014, while "End Over End" was later released as the EPs first and only official single.
The EP's earlier origin tracks back to guitarist Chris Shy, the prior guitarist of band Aurora Sky, [2] who envisioned doing a project with Pete Murray of Lo-Pro. [3] He contacted Murray after the release of Lo-Pro's third album, Disintegration Effect , in June 2013. [4] The two communicated vaguely about working together through email, which eventually led to sending song ideas back and forth. [3] Upon completion of their first complete song, "Feed", the two decided to start work on writing songs for an EP, and the two were tasked with forming a real band. [3] Murray recruited John Fahnestock, whom he had worked with on Lo-Pro's first album Lo-Pro prior to Fahnestock leaving during the six-year gap to their second album, The Beautiful Sounds of Revenge , as a bass player. [5] Shy had always envisioned Will Hunt, prior drummer for Evanescence, Device and Dark New Day, as a member, and proceeded to recruit him for the project. [6] The entire recruitment process had been done entirely over phone and Internet; the band had not ever all been together in person until the start of the recording sessions. [3] Recording started at the end of 2013 and early 2014, with music producer Ben Grosse, who had previously worked with Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed, and Filter. [7] Grosse was chosen because Murray had desired to work with him since the recording of Lo-Pro's debut album, due to his involvement in producing Title of Record . [8] The album was recorded in East West Studios. [9]
Murray stated that the band was meant to sound like an evolution and maturation from the music he had previously done with Ultraspank and Lo-Pro. [8] Murray states that while "anger" had been an inspiration for his music in the past, he feels he has "mellowed out" over the years, now being inspired by practicing yoga, which led to a theme of "the power of a quiet mind" for the EP. [8] Murray explained the album title, stating:
"Until We Meet Again acts in the same way that “Sincerely” is the closing of a personal piece of correspondence. It was our way of authoring our name to the songs as a whole and the experience in general." [8]
Both Murray and Shy felt that they were able to make the music the way they truly desired, without any external pressures such as a record label, since it was released independently, or fear of having to conform to "pay the bills", since it was not the only band or source of income for any members. [3] [8] The lyrics for "Bomber" were inspired by Murrays thoughts of likening the aggressive nature of people who "only thrive with drama" with World War II bomber plane attacks. [10] "End Over End" was inspired by Murray's "here we go again"-type feelings upon starting up another band. [10] The specific line "it was anarchy in the streets of my thoughts" refers to the chaotic nature of his own mind prior to finding peace in later years. [10] "Breathe" is about keeping life's trouble's in perspective, with Murray stating "Bottom line is we really don’t have much to complain about. There are people in this world who have it so much worse. If you’re breathing, you’re winning. It’s that simple. I don’t need to throw a wedding at Versailles to feel like I’ve accomplished something" [10]
A minute-long teaser clip was released in December 2013, [11] with the band aiming for a "Spring 2014" release timeframe. [12] A second teaser clip was released a month later in mid-January. [8] The release date for Until We Meet Again was later narrowed down to March 11, 2014, [9] with the band's first single, "Feed", was released as a promotional single a week prior on March 5, 2014, [7] while "End Over End" was later released as the EP's first and only single. The New Zealand Herald gave the album a 4 out of 5 star review, comparing it favorably to the work of Filter and Seether, and concluding that "In five songs that will leave you breathless, White Noise Owl has harked back to the past three decades of rock to provide a glimpse of what could be the future sound of hard rock. Evanescence is an American rock band founded in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1995 by singer and musician Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody. After recording independent EPs as a duo in the late 90's, and a demo CD, Evanescence released their debut studio album, Fallen, on Wind-up Records in 2003. Propelled by the success of hit singles like "Bring Me to Life" and "My Immortal", Fallen sold more than four million copies in the US by January 2004, garnering the band two Grammy Awards out of six nominations. The band released their first live album and concert DVD, Anywhere but Home, in 2004, which sold over one million copies worldwide.
Modest Mouse is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Issaquah, Washington, and currently based in Portland, Oregon. The founding members were lead singer/guitarist Isaac Brock, drummer Jeremiah Green and bassist Eric Judy. Strongly influenced by Pavement, Pixies, XTC, and Talking Heads, they rehearsed, rearranged, and recorded demos for almost two years before finally signing with small-town indie label K Records and releasing numerous singles. The band achieved mainstream success with their fourth album, Good News for People Who Love Bad News (2004), and its singles "Float On" and "Ocean Breathes Salty".
Lo-Pro is an American rock band formed in 2002 by Pete Murray and Neil Godfrey after the disbandment of their previous band, Ultraspank, in 2001. After attracting the attention of Aaron Lewis of Staind, the band signed to a major record label, Geffen Records, and released their debut album, Lo-Pro in 2003. After a year of touring in support of the album, they would be dropped from their label. The band stayed together, but it would be almost six years until any further music releases, with the band opting to record and re-record several album's worth of material, participate in side-projects, and perform live shows prior to finalizing new material for release.
Lo-Pro is the debut studio album of Lo-Pro, released on September 30, 2003. It had one single in "Sunday" which garnered considerable radio play upon release. Throughout 2003 and 2004, Lo-Pro toured with groups like Staind and Three Days Grace in promotion of the album before being dropped from their record label.
Tommy Stewart is an American drummer, currently for the rock band Lo-Pro. He is probably best known for his stint with the band Godsmack. He has also toured and recorded with a number of other bands including Detroit based metal band Halloween, glam rock band Lillian Axe, and alternative rock bands Fuel and Everclear.
Ultraspank was an American metal band from Santa Barbara, California, United States. They released two albums, a self-titled album in 1998, and a follow-up, Progress, in 2000. The band disbanded shortly after the release of Progress in 2001 due to being dropped by their label due to poor sales of both albums.
Amy Lynn Lee is an American singer-songwriter and musician. She is the co-founder, lead vocalist, and lead songwriter of the rock band Evanescence. Alongside her contributions with the band, Lee has also participated on other musical projects, including Nightmare Revisited and Muppets: The Green Album, composed the soundtrack to the films War Story (2014) and Indigo Grey: The Passage (2015) with cellist Dave Eggar, and the song "Speak to Me" for the film Voice from the Stone (2017). She has also collaborated with other artists such as Korn, Seether, Bring Me the Horizon, and Lindsey Stirling. A classically trained pianist, Lee possesses a mezzo-soprano vocal range.
Adrian Griffin is an Australian drummer and bass guitarist who played for the punk rock band 28 Days and for Tom Ugly.
William Hunt is an American drummer. He has been a member of rock band Evanescence since 2007, and has also played for Skrape, Dark New Day, Black Label Society, Vasco Rossi, Device, Crossfade, Staind, Static-X, and Slaughter.
Letting Go is the EP of Lo-Pro, initially available only during concerts in July and August during the "Stimulate This" Tour with Staind, Shinedown, Chevelle and Halestorm. It was reported to be released digitally in September 2009, but was eventually pushed back to October 21, 2009. This is their first formal release of music in six years, since their self-titled album in 2003. In the past, Lo-Pro has claimed to be working on "over 26 songs" for a future release. Despite this, five of the six tracks on it were later put on their full-length album The Beautiful Sounds of Revenge, to be released on June 8, 2010.
The Beautiful Sounds of Revenge is the second full-album by Lo-Pro, originally scheduled to be released was May 25, 2010, but was delayed to June 8, 2010, in order to add more songs to it. It is their third formal release of music, after their self-titled release in 2003 and the Letting Go EP in 2009. The album is described by leader singer and songwriter Pete Murray as "a diary of the Lo-Pro experience" over the course of the seven years it took to make the album. The album's only single was "Alive".
Chokt is an American industrial rock band featuring Pete Murray of Lo-Pro and Ultraspank, Walter Flakus of Stabbing Westward, and John Stevens of Ghost Machine and The Clay People. The trio recorded an album's worth of material together, releasing songs one by one over the course of 2006 to 2009. It served as an outlet for Murray for songs that didn't quite fit the hard rock sound of Lo-Pro, during the six year gap in between Lo-Pro releases.
Bittersweet is the first studio album by Life On Planet 9, the pseudonym used by American hard rock band Lo-Pro when releasing music of a more experimental nature. The album was released on August 20, 2011. The album's origins trace back as far as 2007, when Lo-Pro participated in an acoustic tour with Staind frontman Aaron Lewis. Tracks started as acoustic rock material, but as they developed, they gained further ambient and electronic elements. The sound strayed so far from their original hard rock sound that they decided to release it under another name.
Disintegration Effect is the third studio album by American hard rock band Lo-Pro. It was released on May 14, 2013. The album was a departure from the prior two Lo-Pro albums, while half of the album retained the band's usual melodic hard rock sound, half contained more screamed vocals more reminiscent of members Pete Murray and Neil Godfrey's prior band, Ultraspank.

The Theory of Everything is the second studio album by Life On Planet 9, the pseudonym used by American hard rock band Lo-Pro when releasing music of a more experimental sound. The first album under the moniker, Bittersweet, had been more of an outlet for Lo-Pro's acoustic songs that had taken on too many electronic rock elements to be billed an acoustic album. The Theory of Everything largely disavows the acoustic elements in favor of electronic elements coupled with melodic guitar-work. It was released on August 26, 2014.

Condition Critical is the debut full-length studio album by American rock band White Noise Owl. Initially due shortly after their debut EP Until We Meet Again, the release saw multiple delays before receiving its final release date, November 1, 2019. The album's first single, "Something, was released over two years prior to the album release, on August 1, 2017. The second single, "Maybe It's Time", was released in October 2019.
