Piscataway is an unincorporated community in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. It is one of the oldest European-colonized communities in the state. The Piscataway Creek provided sea transportation for export of tobacco. It is located near the prior Piscataway tribe village of Kittamaqundi.

Maryland Route 361 is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. Known as Fairmount Road, the state highway runs 5.62 miles (9.04 km) from the beginning of state maintenance in Upper Fairmount east to MD 413 in Westover. MD 361 provides access to the villages of Manokin and Upper Fairmount. The state highway was constructed from the Westover end beginning in 1926. MD 361 was completed west through Upper Fairmount in the early 1930s.
Fairmount is an unincorporated community located along County Route 517 in Tewksbury Township of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The community was first known as Parkersville, named after proprietor James Parker (1725–1797). The southern section of the community is known as Lower Fairmount.
The Princess Anne Historic District is located in Princess Anne the county seat of Somerset County, Maryland on Maryland's Eastern Shore. There has been little change due to industry or other development, and the town retains much of its historic character since its founding in the early 18th century. It has been the governmental center since the county was formed in 1742 and the present courthouse is one of the most architecturally distinguished in the state. Within the historic district are a few pre-Revolutionary structures, a high concentration of Federal and Victorian architecture, vernacular dwellings as well as 19th and early-20th century commercial and public buildings. The district contains approximately 270 structures of which nearly 90 percent are contributing to the character of the district.
Barton Village Site, also known as the Herman Barton Indian Village Archeological Site, is a large, multi-component archaeological site near Cumberland in Allegany County, Maryland.
Maddux House, also known as Maddux's Island, Maddux's Warehouse, Inclosure, and Capt. William T. Ford House, is a historic home located at Upper Fairmount, Somerset County, Maryland. It is located on a high ridge of land overlooking the Manokin River and Back Creek. It is a two-story, six-bay, "L"-shaped frame house with steeply pitched roofs. The house dates to the 18th century, with an addition dating to around 1850–60. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
Upper Fairmount is an unincorporated community in Somerset County, Maryland, United States. It is located at the intersection of Maryland Route 361 and Upper Hill Road. The Academy Grove Historic District, Maddux House, Schoolridge Farm, Tudor Hall, and Upper Fairmount Historic District are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Schoolridge Farm, also known as School House Ridge, is a historic home located at Upper Fairmount, Somerset County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-story two-bay side-hall / double pile Flemish bond brick house with a steeply pitched wood shingle roof, built about 1780. Attached to the house is a one-story frame kitchen wing and 1+1⁄2-story, three-bay frame addition. Also on the property is a 19th-century frame smokehouse, modern utility building and a screened-in gazebo.
Tudor Hall, also known as Lockerman House, is a historic home located at Upper Fairmount, Somerset County, Maryland, United States. It is a 2+1⁄2-story beaded clapboard house, three bays wide by three deep, and built about 1780. The house features a brick colonnade, now in ruins.
All Saints Church at Monie is a historic Episcopal church located at Venton, Somerset County, Maryland. It is a single-story Carpenter Gothic-style building, five bays across by one room deep built in 1881. It is a well-preserved example of a small, rural Carpenter Gothic church taken from the designs of Richard Upjohn. Also on the property is the cemetery with 18th, 19th, and 20th century burial sites and markers.
Academy Grove Historic District is a national historic district at Upper Fairmount, Somerset County, Maryland, United States. It comprises two Italianate-influenced frame buildings. These include the Fairmount Academy, constructed between 1860 and 1867 to serve as a public school for the Potato Neck District, and the Knights of Pythias Hall, erected adjacent to the Academy about 1872 by the Fairmount Lodge No. 77 of the Knights of Pythias. As early as 1883 the Knights of Pythias Hall was rented by the Board of Education for classroom space; when the Fairmount Lodge disbanded in 1911, the Hall continued to provide additional classroom space for the Academy.
Crisfield Historic District is a national historic district at Crisfield, Somerset County, Maryland, United States. It consists of a cohesive collection of houses, churches, and commercial buildings dating primarily from about 1870 to 1930. They reflect the rapid growth of the town as the center of the booming Chesapeake Bay oyster industry during that period. The district encompasses much of Crisfield's main residential and commercial areas, locally known as "uptown." The Crisfield Armory is located within the district boundaries.
Manokin Historic District is a national historic district at Princess Anne, Somerset County, Maryland, United States, located at the mouth of the Manokin River. It consists of the Manokin settlement, which forms a unique and visually interesting area of great historical significance on the Lower Eastern Shore. These structures, Clifton, More and Case It, Almodington, Elmwood, and Homewood are most strongly linked together visually, culturally, and historically. Architecturally the buildings span the period between the early 18th and the mid 20th centuries.
Deal Island Historic District is a national historic district at Deal Island, Somerset County, Maryland, United States. The district encompasses the village of Deal Island. It includes Deal Island Harbor, still an active marina for fishing boats and an occasional skipjack. The 433-acre (1.75 km2) district contains 81 buildings and three cemeteries that contribute to its significance.

The Fairmount Historic District is a 409-acre (166 ha) historic district located along County Route 517 in the Fairmount section of Tewksbury Township, near Califon, in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 20, 1996 for its significance in architecture, exploration/settlement, and industry. The district includes 72 contributing buildings that were deemed to be contributing to the historic character of the area, plus five contributing structures, nine contributing sites, and one contributing object. One contributing building is located in Washington Township, Morris County.
The Cullen Homestead Historic District encompasses a cluster of properties associated with the Cullen family in rural Somerset County, Maryland. Located in the center of Hopewell, just northeast of Crisfield, the district has three main features. The first is, known as the Cullen Homestead, is a c. 1820 Federal style wood frame dwelling. The building has retained much of its interior period woodwork, despite being added to and altered over the years, and has retained its original board sheathing under modern aluminum siding. The second house in the district is a later 19th century house built by Jacob Hoke Cullen in 1880. The oldest part of the house is a T-shaped portion, which was roughly mirrored by a later addition around 1910, giving the house its present H shape. This house has also retained interior and some exterior finish work. The third element of the district is the family cemetery.
The Fairmount Heights Historic District encompasses an area of 144 acres (58 ha) in the historic heart of Fairmount Heights, Maryland. The area is notable as one of the first planned African-American communities in the Washington, D.C., area. Predominantly residential in character, most of its housing stock was built between 1900 and 1960, although there has also been recent development. The district includes the original town hall. and the first public school for African-Americans in the county. There are also five churches and a community center, all important centers of political activism during the period of segregation.
