Uruashraju [2] [3] (possibly from the regional Quechua spelling, urwa infertile, sterile; corn plant without corncob used as fodder, [4] rahu snow, ice, mountain with snow) [5] or Verdecocha [6] (possibly from Spanish verde green, Quechua qucha lake, "green lake") is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca of the Andes of Peru, about 5,722 metres (18,773 ft) high. [2] [6] It is located in the Ancash Region, Huaraz Province, Olleros District, and in the Huari Province, Chavín de Huantar District. [7] Uruashraju lies south of Huantsán, east of Cashán and Shacsha, and southeast of Lake Tararhua [2] (Lake Verdecocha). [6]

Shacsha

Shacsha,Shaqsha,, Huantsán Chico or Huanchan is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru, about 5,703 metres (18,711 ft) high,. It is situated in the Ancash Region, Huaraz Province, Olleros District. Shacsha lies southwest of Huantsán, west of Uruashraju and southeast of the town of Huaraz.

Cashan (Peru)

Cashan, Kashan or Tijeraspunta is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru, about 5,716 metres (18,753 ft) high. It is located in the Ancash Region, Huaraz Province, in the districts of Huaraz and Olleros. Cashan lies southeast of the town of Huaraz, southwest of Huantsán, west of Uruashraju and northeast of Shacsha.

Hualcán

Hualcán is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru, about 6,122 metres (20,085 ft) high. It is located in Ancash, between Chacas and Carhuaz districts. Hualcán lies south-east of Chequiaraju.

Jatuncocha (Caraz)

Jatuncocha is a lake in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru located in the Ancash Region, Huaylas Province, Santa Cruz District. It is situated at a height of 3,886 m (12,749 ft) comprising an area of 0.486550 km2 (486,550 m2). Jatunccocha lies in the Santa Cruz gorge between the peaks of Quitaraju in the north and Caraz in the south, northeast of a smaller lake named Ichiccocha.

Quitaraju

Quitaraju or Kitaraju is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru, about 6,040 metres (19,816 ft) high. It is situated in the Ancash Region, Huaylas Province, Santa Cruz District. Quitaraju lies north of the Santa Cruz Creek and the lakes named Ichiccocha, Jatuncocha and Quitacocha, between Santa Cruz in the west and Alpamayo in the northeast.

Tullparaju

Tullparaju is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru, about 5,787 metres (18,986 ft) high. It is situated in the Ancash Region, Huaraz Province, Independencia District, and in the Huari Province, Huari District. Tullparaju lies southeast of the mountains Pucaranra and Chinchey and northeast of Andavite. It is situated at the end of the Quilcayhuanca valley, northeast of the lake Tullpacocha.

Quilcayhuanca, Quillcay,Quilcay or Qelkaywanka is a river in the Ancash Region in Peru. It is a right affluent of the Santa River.

Churup

Churup or Tsurup is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru, about 5,495 metres (18,028 ft) high. It is situated in the Ancash Region, Huaraz Province, Independencia District, north-east of Huaraz. Churup is situated south of the mountain Ranrapalca, between the Rima Rima in the north-west and Collapaco and Huamashraju in the south-east, at the entrance to the Quilcayhuanca valley. Lake Churup lies at the foot of the mountain.

Lake Auquiscocha

Lake Auquiscocha or Auquishcocha is a lake in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru located in the Ancash Region, Carhuaz Province, Shilla District. It is situated at a height of about 4,303 metres (14,117 ft). Auquiscocha lies at the foot of Chequiaraju in the north and Hualcán in the southeast, southwest of Lake Chequiacocha.

Carhuascancha

Carhuascancha or Tumarinaraju is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru with an elevation of 5,648 metres (18,530 ft) or 5,668 metres (18,596 ft) above sea level. It is situated in the Ancash Region, Huari Province, Huantar District, and in the Huaraz Province, Huaraz District. Carhuascancha lies north-west of Huantsán.

Santón

Santón is a 5,238-metre-high (17,185 ft) mountain in the southern Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru. It is located in the Ancash Region, Recuay Province, Catac District. It is situated northeast of Caullaraju and north of Challhua. Santón lies south of Pumapampa River, a right tributary of the Santa River.

Tuctopunta

Tuctopunta is a 5,343-metre-high (17,530 ft) mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru. It is located in the Ancash Region, Huaraz Province, Olleros District. Tuctopunta lies northwest of Tuctu and southwest of Uruashraju and Arhuay.

Auqui

Auqui is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru, about 4,800 m (15,748 ft) high. It is situated in the Ancash Region, Huari Province, Huari District. Auqui lies southeast of Jacabamba.

Paccharaju

Paccharaju is a mountain of 5,744 m (18,845 ft) of elevation in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru. In other maps it is shown as comprising two peaks: Rocotuyo of 5,749 m (18,862 ft) and Rayococha of 5,460 m (17,913 ft). It is located between the provinces of Asunción Province and Carhuaz, in Ancash; southwest of mount Tarush Kancha, inside Huascarán National Park.

Tancancocha Mountain in Peru

Tancancocha is a mountain in the north of the Huallanca mountain range in the Andes of Peru at a small lake of that name. The mountain reaches an altitude of approximately 5,200 m (17,100 ft). It is located in the Ancash Region, Bolognesi Province, in the districts of Aquia and Huallanca.

Jatunjirca is a mountain in the eastern part of the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru which reaches a height of approximately 3,800 m (12,500 ft). It is located in the Ancash Region, Huari Province, Huari District, southwest of Huari and west of the village of Yacya.

Pumahuacanca

Pumahuacanca or Pumahuaganga is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru which reaches a height of approximately 5,000 m (16,000 ft). It is located in the Ancash Region, Huaraz Province, Olleros District. Pumahuacanca lies southwest of Uruashraju and southeast of Shacsha.
