Uzbekistan Tennis Federation (UTF) (Uzbek : O'zbekiston Tennis Federatsiyasi) is the governing body for professional and amateur tennis in Uzbekistan. It was originally accepted as associative member at the ITF in 1992. In 1993 UTF became the full member of ITF. [2]
Uzbekistan Tennis Federation operates all of the Uzbekistan national representative tennis sides, including the Uzbekistan Davis Cup team, the Uzbekistan Fed Cup team and youth sides as well. UTF is also responsible for organizing and hosting all types of tennis tournaments in the Uzbekistan. [2]
Tennis is a racket sport that can be played individually against a single opponent (singles) or between two teams of two players each (doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. The object of the game is to manoeuvre the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return. The player who is unable to return the ball will not gain a point, while the opposite player will.

The Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) is a non-profit organization affiliated with the International Tennis Federation. It is a continental body of national tennis associations of Asian countries. The ATF's main objectives are to raise the quality standard of Asian tennis and to popularize tennis sport among the peoples of Asia. There are currently 44 member associations who represents their respective nations.
