Sport in Pakistan is a significant part of Pakistani culture. Cricket is the most popular sport in Pakistan. Football has also gained popularity in recent years, and is the second most popular sport in the country. Field hockey is the national sport, and was popular for several decades, with some of Pakistan's greatest sporting accomplishments having taken place in this sport, along with squash. Polo and traditional sports like kabaddi and other well-known games are also played.
Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi is a Pakistani professional tennis player who specialises in doubles. He is the only Pakistani player ever to reach a Grand Slam final, having done so in both men's and mixed doubles at the 2010 US Open, alongside Rohan Bopanna and Květa Peschke respectively. Qureshi has also reached seven further major semifinals across the two disciplines. He reached his career-high doubles ranking of world No. 8 in June 2011, and has won 18 titles on the ATP Tour, including the 2011 Paris Masters and 2013 Miami Open, with Bopanna and Jean-Julien Rojer respectively. Qureshi has also qualified for the ATP Finals in doubles on three occasions.
Crescent Model Higher Secondary School is an old educational institution in Lahore, Pakistan from Montessori School to Higher Secondary Level. The school is run by a private trust. It offers 'O' and 'A' level programs along with the Pakistan Matriculation degree. It has a main campus for boys and a separate campus for girls, both of which are located in Shadman.
The Pakistan men's national tennis team represent Pakistan in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Pakistan Tennis Federation.
Aqeel Khan is a Pakistani tennis player. He is the current Pakistani number one and National Champion. His favourite surface is Grass. He is coached by Pakistani tennis coach Jamil Khan, who is his father. Aqeel Khan is sponsored by Jaffer Brothers.
Denys Petrovych Molchanov is a Ukrainian tennis player competing on the ATP Challenger Tour. He has won two ATP doubles titles. He has also won 15 ITF singles and 66 doubles titles, 36 of them Challengers. On 5 January 2015 he reached his highest ATP singles ranking of World No. 169, whilst his highest doubles ranking of No. 61 was reached on 30 October 2023. He also played for the Ukraine Davis Cup team.
Tennis is not a very popular sport and Pakistanis compete in very few international events. The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) organises the game in the country.
Saba Aziz is a former Pakistan number one women's tennis player. She represented Pakistan in Fed Cup from 2011-2013.
Aleksandr Nedovyesov, formerly known as Oleksandr Nedovyesov and Alexander Nedovesov, is a Ukrainian-Kazakhstani professional tennis player. He reached his highest ATP singles ranking of world No. 72 on 21 April 2014 and doubles ranking of No. 43 on 16 October 2023. He has won two ATP doubles titles with Gonzalo Escobar. He has also reached five doubles ATP finals two in 2022 partnering Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, and three in 2023. He represented Ukraine until December 2013.
Bob and Mike Bryan defeated Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo in the final, 3–6, 6–3, 6–4, 6–4 to win the gentlemen's doubles title at the 2013 Wimbledon Championships. With the victory, the Bryan brothers completed the "Bryan Slam", a non-calendar year Golden Slam, becoming the first doubles team in tennis history to hold all four majors as well as Olympic gold at the same time. The Bryans are also the first men's doubles team in the Open Era to hold all four major titles at once.
Bob and Mike Bryan were the defending champions, but lost in the quarterfinals to Marcel Granollers and Marc López.
Ushna Suhail is a female tennis player from Pakistan. With a world ranking of #943 in 2016, Suhail became and still remains the highest ranked female tennis player in Pakistan's history.
Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini defeated Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut in the final, 6–4, 6–4, to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2015 Australian Open. Bolelli and Fognini's victory earned them their first Grand Slam doubles title and their third title overall as a pair. They became the first all-Italian team to win a Grand Slam since Nicola Pietrangeli and Orlando Sirola at the 1959 French Open.
Feliciano López and Marc López defeated Bob and Mike Bryan in the final, 6–4, 6–7(6–8), 6–3 to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2016 French Open.
Roger Federer defeated Irakli Labadze in the final, 6–4, 6–4 to win the boys' singles tennis title at the 1998 Wimbledon Championships. It was Federer's fourth juniors singles title. He would go on to win a record eight senior Wimbledon titles between 2003 and 2017.
Henri Kontinen and John Peers were the defending champions, but lost in the second round to Radu Albot and Chung Hyeon.
Kristina Mladenovic and Ivan Dodig defeated Jaimee Fourlis and Jason Kubler in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2022 Australian Open. Though it was their first major title as a team, the win earned Mladenovic her third Mixed doubles title and Dodig his fourth.
Pakistan participated in the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya, Turkey from 9 to 18 August 2022.
