Sport in Pakistan is a significant part of Pakistani culture. Cricket is the most popular sport in Pakistan. Football has also gained popularity in recent years, and is the second most popular sport in the country. Field hockey is the national sport, and was popular for several decades, with some of Pakistan's greatest sporting accomplishments having taken place in this sport, along with squash. Polo and traditional sports like kabaddi and other well-known games are also played.
Syed Hussain Shah is a retired Pakistani boxer from Lyari, Karachi Pakistan, who won the bronze medal in the Middleweight division (71–75 kg) at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. This was the country's first and only Olympic boxing medal to date. He was the second Pakistani to win an individual medal at the Olympic Games. The only other Pakistanis to ever win individual Olympic medals are the wrestler Muhammad Bashir, who won a bronze medal at the 1960 Summer Olympics, and Arshad Nadeem, who won gold medal in Javelin throw at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Haider Ali is a Pakistani retired professional boxer who fought in the featherweight division. He is a Commonwealth Games gold medalist and an Olympian.
Mangte Chungneijang "Mary" Kom is an Indian Olympic boxer, politician, and former Member of Rajya Sabha. She is the only woman to win the World Amateur Boxing Championship six times, the only female boxer to have won a medal in each one of the first seven World Championships, and the only boxer to win eight World Championship medals. Nicknamed Magnificent Mary, she was the only Indian female boxer to have qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics, where she competed in the flyweight (51 kg) category and won a bronze medal. She had also been ranked as the world's No. 1 female light-flyweight by the International Boxing Association (amateur) (AIBA). She became the first Indian female boxer to win a gold medal in the Asian Games in 2014 at Incheon, South Korea and is the first Indian female boxer to win gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She is also the only boxer to become Asian Amateur Boxing Champion for a record six times. Mary Kom won the 51kg gold in President's Cup in Indonesia.
Abdul Rasheed Baloch is a Pakistani boxer and Olympian. As an amateur, he was the Pakistan captain from 1997 to 1998. In the 1996 Olympic Games, he won his first fight against a Mexican boxer but lost his second match against a Kazakhstan boxer in 67 kg.
Haroon Iqbal Khan is a British and Pakistani professional boxer, and Commonwealth Games Bronze medallist.
Muhammad Waseem is a Pakistani professional boxer who challenged twice for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) flyweight title in 2018 and in 2022. Known for his quick and swift style of boxing, Waseem is nicknamed "Falcon".

Abrar Hussain was a professional Pakistani welterweight and Light-middleweight boxer. Hussain represented Pakistan at the 1984, 1988, and 1992 Summer Olympics. In 1985 South Asian Games, he won a Gold medal for Pakistan in Dhaka. In 1990 Asian Games, Hussain secured Gold medal in boxing for Pakistan. He also represented his country at the 1990 Commonwealth Games.

Established in 1952, the PBF oversees the sport's growth across the country. Brig. (R) M. Iftikhar Mansoor currently serves as the federation's president, having been elected on 24 January 2022, for a four-year term.
Shah Hussain Shah is a Pakistani judoka. Shah competes in the men's -100 kg division. As of July 2014, he is based in Japan. He made history by becoming the first Pakistani judoka to qualify for the Olympic Games, representing Pakistan at both the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics.
Shah is a 2015 Pakistani biographical sports film directed and written by Adnan Sarwar. The film, produced under the Logos Films & Media banner, is based on the life of boxer Hussain Shah, who won the bronze medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics and became the only boxer in Pakistan's history to secure an Olympic medal. Adnan Sarwar underwent one year of boxing training to portray Hussain Shah. Other roles are portrayed by Kiran Chaudhary, Sardar Baloch, Adeel Wali Raees, and Gulab Chandio.
Pakistan competed in the 2019 South Asian Games in Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal from 1 to 10 December 2019. It participated in Tennis, Table Tennis, Athletics, Handball, Taekwondo, Kabbadi, Badminton, Swimming, Karate, Wrestling, Weightlifting, Boxing, Squash, Volleyball, Judo and Wushu.
The Pakistan women's national boxing team represents Pakistan in international boxing competitions. It is administered by the Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF). The team competed internationally for the first time at the South Asian Games held in Guwahati, India in 2016. It debuted at the continental level at the Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2018.
Rukhsana Parveen also spelled Rukhsana Perveen is a female boxer from Pakistan. In 2016, she along with two other team mates became the first women boxers from Pakistan to compete in an international competition when they participated at the South Asian Games in Guwahati, India. She was also included in the first ever team sent to the Asian Games.
Jan Muhammad Baloch, was a Pakistani former olympian boxer, coach of the Pakistan national boxing team appointed by the Pakistan Boxing Federation and the founder of RCD Boxing Club. He made his international debut with 1970 British Commonwealth Games and represented the country in four Asian Games, including 1972 Summer Olympics, 1978 Asian boxing tournament and RCD Boxing Championship administered or organised by the Turkish Boxing Federation.
Tsukimi Namiki is a Japanese amateur boxer. She won the bronze medal in the women's flyweight event at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Leuila Mau'u is a New Zealand amateur boxer. He won a bronze medal in the super heavyweight division at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Mau'u also competed at the 2020 Asia & Oceania Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament.
